Didn't end up going downtown on Tuesday like I was supposed to. My hip was still out and I hadn't slept in two days so I really wasn't up to it. So I canceled my hair appointment and just went to the bank on Wednesday instead. ^^;

This means I do have to make a point of picking up more rats for Aya and the fish (probably tomorrow), but whatever.

Anyhoo, I didn't sleep Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights. Like, at all. ~_~; So when we did groceries on Wednesday I said screw it and bought some sleep aid pills. lol so last night I slept SUPER WELL! 8D; Like, for 18 hours straight. I damn well needed it though, so it's fine. Imma probably take one tonight too.

Right now I'm watching Tommyknockers! I've never seen it before, but when I went up to the corner earlier I found a copy of it for $3.98 at the Bargain Shop, along with a copy of The Unborn, Growing Up Safari (Zebra, Giraffe, Hyena & Rhino) and Animal Armageddon Target: Earth. Yay cheap DVDs!

EDIT: Oh, and I re-potted my magic bean plant into a bigger pot so it can keep growing, and I also planted some watermelon seeds in my spare pot so they can take root and sprout some before it's warm enough to transfer them to the out-of-doors. I have tomato seeds too, but I need another pot. XD
senashenta: (House: Oh Vicondin!)
So today was mall day. Yay! lol I haven't been actually shopping-shopping at the mall here in a long time. Mostly because we only have about ten stores that are worthwhile anymore. XD I much prefer just going to Walmart if I need something, or shopping along the main street downtown. We have a lot of cute stores down there. :)

Anyway, I didn't sleep worth beans last night. Originally I had planned to get up at 11:30am at the latest so I could head out around noon, but I ended up laying around in bed, tossing and turning and attempting to get even a little bit of sleep until around 2:30pm before I finally gave up and just got up for the day. ~_~;; Le sigh.

But whatever, I'm used to running on next to no sleep, so I got ready and walked up to the mall. It was super nice and sunny out... except for the wind. HOLY FUCK THE WIND. It was blowing so hard that when I got home I found out I have windburn across my face and neck. O__o; NOT FUN, and really too bad since it would have been warm out too if it wasn't for the wind.

My first stop at the mall was Zellers, where I poked around somewhat aimlessly for a while, just looking at stuff. In the end I got a new pack of LPS (a pony and a deer; the pony comes with a detachable horn! So cute!) and a copy of Megamind, since they had it on special for $18.99 (regular $24.99.) I also got a spool of 100 writeable DVD-Rs since they were on sale for half price and I have a FUCKTON of video files I need to get off of Z and Squall. >>;

After that I went to Ardene for jewelry components. I will post a pic of what I got tomorrow. They have CRYSTALS. CRYYYYYYYSTALS!! ...but when I got home later I remembered I need more bead boxes, so I have nowhere to put said crystals for the moment. xD; *fails*

Then I looked through the itty bitty bookstore we have at the mall, but even though I found a bunch of books and manga I was interested in, I didn't actually buy any. I'm going to be in Barrie next week, so Imma go to Chapters while I'm there instead. Yepyep.

That done, I went and got something to eat at the food court (which has three whole restaurants in it! *facepalm*) After eating, I realized I needed some actual cash so I walked all the way back down to the other end of the mall to pull $20 from the ATM there... at which point my hip went out. DAMMIT.

My hips have been giving me problems lately (particularly the left one, it keeps going out on me the last couple of weeks), so I wasn't surprised, but my shopping bag was relatively heavy and I still had to go to the grocery store and then WALK HOME. =__=;; URGH. SCREW YOU, BODY.

I managed to hobble to the grocery store at the other end of the mall and picked up the odds and ends I needed for cooking dinner tomorrow (chicken curry), then decided I couldn't walk the whole way home and limped my way over to the bus stop.

The problem is that the bus stop closest to here is still about ten blocks away. I got off at that stop, and managed to make my way to the Dollarama. I went in and took a cart for my bags and picked up a couple of things, because sometimes if I put down what I'm carrying and walk slowly for a while my hips/legs start to behave again.

This time? Not so much.

But at least while I was there I got some potting soil (I need to re-pot one of my plants to a bigger pot and need more soil for it) as well as photo frames for the Ghostbusters photo series from Otakon last summer. And some jujubes. Just because JUJUBES.

When I got outside again my hip was still out though, so I ended up having to call Mom and get her to come up and pick me up in the car. I haven't been limping this badly in forever, idk how I used to deal with it every day for so long... anyway, Mom picked me up and brought me home, and I took muscle relaxants and laid down for a couple hours.

When I got up again my hip was a bit better, but not great, so Mom also helped me clean the bunny cages tonight, since it requires a lot of bending and lifting. :P

I do have to go downtown tomorrow... I think even if my leg is better in the morning I'm going to bring my cane with me anyway, though.
senashenta: (ZOMG! Envy)
So being all proud that I walked all the way from downtown to Mom's place? Yeaaaah. When I woke up the next day my body HATED me for it. My knee and one of my hips are currently seizing up off-and-on every ten minutes or so, and have been since yesterday. Muscle relaxants; they are my friends.

Other than that, I ended up staying at Mom's place and hanging with my brother until like 10pm yesterday before I finally called a taxi and came home. XD;; Then I pretty much just fed the critters and then went to bed.

Today I had an appointment with my doctor, where she weighed me and asked me various questions and generally got my medical charts caught up. My prescriptions are also changed a bit now, I have to pick the new ones up tomorrow or the next day.

After the appointment I walked downtown (slowly, with my cane this time) and went to the dollar store because I needed some fine tip black markers (for addressing the packages I have to mail.) On the way home I stopped at Euphoria and got myself a berry blend smoothie and a chicken fajita wrap for lunch/dinner. ♥

And now I'm watching Robin Hood on tvshack.

OH. My rl bff is back here from England for a while, and am hoping to actually get to visit with her this time. We have tentatively decided to go out for sushi together some time this week. But since email/facebook convos don't tend to stick with her very well sometimes, I'm going to give her a ring tonight and see if we can finalize our plans over the phone. :3

EDIT: EDAMAME! *MUNCHMUNCH*
senashenta: (Dance! Dance! Dance!)
Friday there was a surprise going away party for C.A. out at Jodi's parent's place; they live in the middle of nowhere. So just before 5, Ryuu picked me up and we went to Jodi's to get directions to where the party was supposed to be. Then we had to drive for about an hour to get there. OH WELL.

Pam and Kevin were already there when he arrived, along with a couple of guys from Peterborough that I didn't know until then; Jordan and Peter. Normally I have trouble talking a lot with people I don't know, but Jordan and Pete were so awesome and nice. They were about the only people there that I didn't already know that I could deal with though. >>;

Haha, everyone was late including C.A. and Jodi. xD; It was this huge secret, and we were all out in the garage waiting for them to get there for like two hours. All six of us, wtf. XDD;; Out in the garage was this cutout thing... you see them on beaches and in tourist places, the big pics with the faces cut out for people to take photos in/with? There was one in the garage that was a mountie riding a moose (and smoking a joint for some reason, lol.), so we all crowded behind that to jump out, and Kevin and Ryuu stick their faces in. Then instead of popping out right away, we just waited to see how long it would take for her to notice them.

It was funny just to listen to. She was like "...wow, that kinna looks like Kevin..." and then there was this long silence. We all sniggered and then jumped out at her. It was priceless.

After they were there, we just sat around in a circle on lawn chairs and talked, and other people drank (Ryuu and I don't drink.) Ryuu and I had brought C.A. gifts, so she opened them. She got a t-shirt from Ryuu, and I gave her a bunch of jam and a Japanese dictionary. <3

More people did come after a while, and there was about 20 in the end. Then there was a band because the lead singer/guitar was Jodi's boyfriend so she insisted. HAHA. They were really good! They only did covers, but I really enjoyed them.

I had a lot of trouble though, because of the crowded space, the number of people, the loud music and the dancing (plus because of all the above it was very hot), so I spent about half the night sitting just outside the garage, listening to the music and looking at the stars so I wouldn't end up having a huge panic attack. Pete was really nice and sat with me for a while the one time, and Ryuu and Jordan ended up outside with me later and we talked about media (movies/actors/books/etc.) for like two hours. ^_^;

The band finally packed up around 3am, and most of the people left (the ones that weren't spending the night). It was fun, and kind of stressful, and camping-parties last freaking forever. -.-;;

The ground around Jodi's parent's place is really uneven, and it was raining off-and-on all night (so no campfire! D=), so the grass was wet... and we lost power for a while. (Jodi's dad set up the generator so the band could still play!) But because of all that, I fell like fifty times. I think I managed to find all the potholes in the entire lawn. It was kind of funny, actually, because I don't even drink and I was the one falling all over the place. XD;; DOH.

Anyway, so my right ankle is all swollen and sprained, and my left knee is all cut and scraped up. Ah well, it's not so bad. Imma limp for a while, though.

Then when I finally got home I crashed... and slept for like 14 hours. Something like that. >.>;;

All in all, it was fun and I'm glad I went. I don't get to see Pam and Kevin much, and I was glad to meet Jordan and Pete, and spend time with C.A. and Ryuu. I knew I'd have trouble with the sound level and the number of people, so that at least wasn't a surprise. At least I could get out and have some fresh air to get over it, and people were nice to keep me company. :)

ANYHOW~

So that was Friday and yesterday. =D

Photoblogging Day 51,52,53 )

OH, AND! Before I forget, Friday afternoon I finally mailed the last round of P.O.S. packages! So [livejournal.com profile] kierseth, [livejournal.com profile] cat_mcdougall, [livejournal.com profile] etcetera_cat, [livejournal.com profile] smoulderedtears and [livejournal.com profile] lipstickcat have big heavy boxes coming their way! But they were mailed ground mail (because they were so big and heavy... except for etc's, it's uber heavy but not as big as the others) for money reasons, so they'll take a bit to arrive. Hopefully everyone will get theirs by a month from now.

Like a week from now I also have to mail about 12 Christmas packages too. No wonder I don't have any money. >>; lol.

EDIT: YEY Johnny Depp biography~ X33

EDIT 2: Oh, and when Ryuu picked me up on Friday she gave me my present from when she went to China a few months back. "Present" and not "souvenir" because it's edible. lol. She got me pocky and pretz; dark and white chocolate pocky, and shrimp and pizza pretz. <3 Apparently it's really cheap there, like 50 cents a box. O.o;
senashenta: (Misery Sure Loves Company)
I did nothing today. Got up at 7-ish when Angel somehow managed to open the door to my room and got up onto the bed... then went back to sleep about half an hour later. Slept until lunch time, had spaghetti, went back to bed.

I was supposed to go to Huntsville with Grandma and Bea this afternoon, but I've had really really freaking bad cramps all day; hence all the sleeping. I've also been taking massive ammounts of motrin. -___-;;
senashenta: (Dreams)
It is 4:25 am, and I am TIRED, and I CAN'T SLEEP.

I went to bed at around 11, and slept for 45 minutes, then woke up and tossed and turned for another 45 minutes... and then got up. Thus, tonight has become RANDOM MOVIE NIGHT; Treasure Planet, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and now~ I, Robot, yey! =D

I also copied and cut out my Teeny Tiny Teddy Bear pattern (I just plan to do the 5" ones for AN), and laminated it with tape so I can use it again and again... and again and again and again! Now I just need some sewing pins and a grease pencil to trace the pattern onto the felt.

I also plan to adjust some ear and tail patterns to do other animals, too. Bunnies, and foxies, and kitties. The basic bodies will be the same, so it'll be easy to do. <3

Now I'm off to zone out in front of the tv, and maybe try to sleep again. *nodnod*

EDIT: Also, my tongue still hurts. >>;;

EDIT #2: I finally bought myself a Gloomy Bear! I kept meaning to get one at AN every time I've gone, but then I'd forget when I was actually there. XD; That one's little, I want a bigger one too, preferrably one without the blood. I guess maybe we'll see next AN~ ^^
senashenta: (Here Kitty Kitty)
I just burnt my tongue really really badly on a piece of maceroni~~ TT~~~TT Like, so badly it singed the taste buds off... but not quite badly enough that it's blistering. It hurts though~ ;~; I'm such a wuss. >>;;

Now~

Teeny Tiny Teddy Bears! =D

Years and years ago, Mom picked up a book with patterns for making miniature teddy bears. They're so cute. Made of felt with little button eyes; they're three sizes, the biggest one being 5" standing, and only about 3" sitting down. The middle one is 3" standing, and the littlest one is 2" standing. X33

I'M MAKING SOME FOR SELLING AT AN NEXT MAY~~~

When I finish a few, I'll take photos. =3

Photoblogging, Day 24 )
senashenta: (The Bunny Is GOD You FOOLS)
I dropped a pewter dragon on my bare foot yesterday. It hurt. A lot. Luckily, said dragon was little, or I would have broken at least one toe. As it was, a spot on my foot turned black, then faded to purple and now I have an ugly bruise. Bad dragon.

Photoblogging, Day 8 )
senashenta: (ARGH!)
Okay, so I've got Pan out and I'm sitting watching TV and snuggling with her. Squishy love, right? HAH. She climbs up, cuddles into the crook of my neck... and randombly bites me. Like three times in the same spot, the bitch. RRRGH. BAD BUNNY! BAD!

Now it looks like I have a hickey, but it's actually from one of my rabbits, wtf. I can't decide if that's a serious win or a spectacular fail. XD;;

Lights Out

That sound? At five o'clock this morning?

That was me falling down the stairs.

Yeah. And I just went to the Chiropractor yesterday morning. =____=;;
senashenta: (ARGH!)
Dear stupid bait pony,

I realise that having your head removed and your hair ripped out is probably not the best thing that's ever happened to you, but slipping and shoving the exacto knife an inch into my right thumb is entirely uncalled for.

I really really would rather you didn't do that again. Especially since dripping blood across my floor isn't my favorite pastime (despite having done it countless times over the last year-or-so) even though it makes for a very pretty red color.

No love,
Sena

P.S. I think you're an ugly G2 pony anyway. So there. XP

TT~~~~TT

EDIT: Le sigh. Note the various puncture-scars from being mauled by housecats twice this last year. I so win at minor personal injury.

Uhhh...

Oh yeah. Along with the blister I ended up with yesterday, I also... stabbedmyselfinthestomachwithmyexactoknife. >>;;;

But just a little bit. I was working on a pony that's going to be another Hikaru one when it happened (of course), and the knife slipped a bit. Just like when I cut my finger practically in half working on Trims back in December 2005. XD; I shouldn't be allowed near sharp objects.

It's just a teeny cut, though, since (believe it or not) I have good reflexes. A bandaid overnight and now it's gone. No problem.
senashenta: (Ed And Al <3 Trees)
My shoulder hurts. You shush, Kao-mun! I think I slept wrong a couple of nights ago... oh well. Not much I can do about it. I keep having to stretch and it complains at me. Hopefully it'll go away, but if it doesn't I'm going to the chiropractor next monday anyway.

Oh, and I totally forgot to say, when Dad came up on Sunday morning to visit, he brought Trunks' birthday present (a decorative sword, I want it!), and I gave him back all the b-grade movies I borrowed from him last time I was at his place... and he brought me another whole bag of them to borrow! XD

--Dungeons and Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God
--The Deadly Spawn
--Centipede
--It Waits
--Ants
--Scorpius Gigantus
--Clawed
--Minotaur
--Tarantulas: The Deadly Cargo

BOO-YAH. ^__^ I'm allowed to keep Ants and Tarantulas, but I have to give the rest back later. Still, I'm looking forward to watching some good b-grade stuff. (Is that even possible?? XDD;;)
senashenta: (Durr...)
Remember the old days, when I used to cut myself on danishes and chocolate flakes in my ice cream?

Well, I was just chopping some rhubarb to freeze it, and cut my palm...

...on the back of the knife.

Yes, that's right. The non-sharp side.

Go me.
senashenta: (Tooru Is UNIMPRESSED)
I bit my lip really hard today while I was eating a hamburger, and now it's all swollen and stuff. =_=;;
senashenta: (FFVII Cloud)
Hweeeh... I'm so tired. =.=;

I didn't sleep much last night, then I got up at 8 (as usual), and woke up with a headache... you know how you get them if you sleep for a short time and wake up before you should? Yeah. ^^; Aspirin is my friend!

After I showered/dressed/etc. I talked to Cassandra-san for a while (yay the 'Net was working this morning!), then I meandered downtown to meet my brother, his girlfriend, and her younger brother down by the Opera House-- this weekend the city has this street sale down on the main street, so we all wandered around there for a couple of hours.

We poked around the Farmer's Market again, since it's Saturday and it was open as well, then went up and down the street a couple of times; Trunks was awesome and lent me some money, since I don't have any. >^-^;;

He bought me a pillow-blanket thing, which is actually for Mom for Christmas; it's a blanket with a pillowcase deal, and when you're not using the blanket, you can fold it up and tuck it into the case, and it becomes a pillow. I thought it was a really cute idea, and Mom would really like it. It's got wolves on it. =3

And he also got me a cowboy hat! X3 I've wanted one FOREVER, and there was a booth selling them there... and they were selling them pretty cheap (mine cost $15), so he said he'd buy me one. ^_^ It's kind of black with a lace design and some shells. Trunks says it reminds him of the Crocodile Dundee hat. XD

They had another kind of hat that I really liked, too-- with little white sequins all over it. It came in a bunch of different colors, but the pink was the nicest one. I couldn't stop giggling over the BLING, lol. But they didn't have any of that kind that fit my big head. :P Oh well, I love the one I got anyway.

I'll take a picture and upload it later~

And then we were walking past a new ice cream shop, and they were handing out coupons (50 cents off ice cream for each family member), so he took us all in and bought us ice cream; ice cream for 4 people cost him just under $7, which is actually AWESOME, especially considering I got special stuff (gelato? I think that's what it's called... Italian ice cream, I got chocolate-hazelnut flavor!) that was like, $3.50.

SUCH good prices. I totally have to go there again.

And it was so hot today that ice cream was definitely appreciated!

So then after that, they went down to the A&P with me to get some misc. groceries that I needed to pick up (toilet paper, rice, raisins, peaches). I had money for the groceries, but that's why I didn't have any for other stuff. ^_^;; Eheheh...

Then we came home, and I crashed because I was SO BLOODY TIRED. It was so hot and muggy, and heat does that to me. Not to mention wandering around for several hours. So I went to lay down in the nice air conditioning in Mom and Lee's room (I'm going to miss their awesome air conditioners when I have to go home! ;-; *sniffle* lol) for a while, and ended up falling asleep.

Then I woke up a little while later with another headache. -.-;;

But in general, it was a pretty decent day. :)
senashenta: (Tamaki/Tamaki OTP)
Some photos. Mostly because I got Neko to stay close to Loki for a few minutes (via food bribery, but still!) and I'm SUPER happy about it. So I was going to post a pic of them together, and I figured why not post some more pics while I'm at it? -- AS USUAL. ^_^

Goooooo~d Neko! (And other stuff...) )

So, things are settling down into a (relative) routine now that Neko is grudgingly accepting that Loki isn't going anywhere. The world continues to turn. I really need to get it across to Loki that he shouldn't use his claws for everything, though... I have more kitty-scritches right now than I have in my whole life up until this point. ^_^;;

Like, last night he caught my hand by accident and scratched right where I have a scar from my encounter with Fritz. O_o; Ironic. And just now, he claw-climbed his way up my back to my shoulder, then skittered down my front because he wanted attention and I didn't pick him up right away when he came to make big shiny PLEASE eyes at me from the front. :P

He's such a suck it's rediculous... lol. I love him to bits and pieces. <3 =^-^=

Also, icon love. Eheh. XD
senashenta: (Tooru & Yuujirou)
Well, my jaw is feeling quite a bit better the last couple of days, but last night my right lung started hurting. Because obviously, I have to have pain in at least one body part at all times. < /sarcam > -_-;;

Oh well. If it doesn't get better, at least I have an appointment with my doctor soon. I'm going to go in to see her with a while REAM of stuff that I need her to check out... as usual. :P

Hm. So today I downloaded episode 10 of Ouran (note: *squee*), and a few episodes of Gakuen Heaven; I watched the first episode, and honestly wasn't really impressed. But since it is just the first episode, I figure I'll watch at least a couple more before I decide if it's worth keeping up with the series or not. :)

I have a ton of stuff on my hard drive again, now... I need to burn some discs to clear it off and then defragment. Other than Ouran (both subbed and raw) and Gakuen Heaven, I've also got a bunch of Pita Ten episodes, and the FMA movie. >^-^;; The problem is that The Conqueror of Shamballa is too big to fit onto a disc, so I have to split it into at least two parts (possibly three), before I can get it off my computer...

AAAAA~nyway.

Oh, my button maker came in today. ^_^ Eheheh. Yeah, it's a Hello Kitty one. So what? The same seller had like the exact same button maker, only not HK, and it was a lot more expensive, so... yeah. Who cares what the logo says? It works, and that's the important thing.

Ahaha~~ all the instructions were in Chinese. ^^; But I figured it out on my own, based on the pictures and some trial-and-error. I only screwed up three buttons before I had it figured out! YAY SENA! =3

Basically, I bought it because... I want to make buttons. Yeah, stupid, huh? :P lol. It makes 1 + 1/4 inch buttons (the little kind), and I kind of want to find/buy one that will make 2 + 1/4 inch ones (the big kind), too. Mostly so that I can make buttons for next year's Anime North convention, possibly as promotion for my ponies. We'll see. ^^

I made myself and [livejournal.com profile] cassandracsenta each an Ouran button today while I was practicing. X3

The set only comes with the making for 15 buttons, though, so I need to get some refills. Luckily, those are cheap and easy to come by, so it'll be no problem. Wow, though. Making buttons is so much easier than I thought it would be. >^-^;; Why did I think it'd be complicated? Ah, who knows...

....

Then tonight Mom took me out grocery shopping, and we went to get burgers for supper.

Oh, and Neko is pretty much fine with Loki now, except when Loki tried to get at his food dish. Then all bets are off. ;)

....

EXCITING, ne? ^_~
senashenta: (Respect The Suitcase)
I just had to give Neko a smack for hissing at Loki... and I hurt my hand. ;-; lol. He just sat there and looked at me. Now he's gone back to sleep.

I gotta find another way to get my point across. |_|;;

--Laundry
--Pie(s)
--Tidy apartment

--Unplug stuff

I'm off to Anime North with Mom tonight. ^_^

I need to remember to unplug some stuff before I leave, and put the wires up, as Loki seems to have a thing for playing with/chewing on them. While we're in Toronto, I'm going to find/buy some clear nailpolish to put on the wires when I get back, but for now I'll just put them up so he can't get to them.

Hopefully, a couple of days alone will finish getting Neko used to having Loki around, too. Tri's already adopted him, but Neko still isn't sure...

Already did laundry last night/this morning, and made pie this morning, because I felt like it and I thought I'd like to take one down to Dad and Lois, since they're letting us stay at their place so we don't have to pay for a hotel. It's strawberry-rhubarb-raspberry-peach-pear-apple. Fruit medley! XD

Also, WTF my jaw is KILLING me. It's been hurting for almost a week now. It doesn't hurt as long as I don't move it, but I can't yawn or open my mouth more than a bit. It's really stiff, too. I can talk, at least, but I have to chew on the right side (since the left side is the sore one), and... yeah. Just ow. ;-;

*goes to get ibuprofin (or however you spell that)*

Still MIA

May. 18th, 2006 04:07 pm
senashenta: (Feeling A Little Crazy)
The Staples people told me their turn around was a day or two when I dropped my computer off, and since it had been three days yesterday, I called them to inquire about my PC... the woman I talked to was apologetic, but said that the guy who normally does the work was out with a back injury, so mine hadn't even been gotten to yet. She said I should get a call tomorrow (which is now today) or Friday about it at the latest.

First of all, whether there was someone out with a back injury or not, there are several people who work in the tech center doing the computer repairs. If he couldn't make it in, they should have called someone else in. Or at least called the people who were waiting to let them know. You shouldn't give out "you will get your computer back by ____" dates, when you can't deliver on it.

But I know that things happen, so I'm giving them some leeway. If they don't call tomorrow, I'm going to call them back again, though.

So right now I'm still computer-less and using five-minute blips on Sarah's to do journal entries and check me email and whatnot. Which means that I won't be able to catch [livejournal.com profile] cassandracenta until Sunday, since I won't have my computer back until tomorrow night at the earliest, and she's going away for Saturday. :P

Maybe I'll try scribbling out a scene without my computer... it will probably kill my hand, but whatever. ^_^;; Tendonitis sucks, by the way.

ANYWAY.

About the only other thing that needs reporting on it my hand! ...which is much better, thank you. ^^ Once the antibiotics kicked in and started clearing out some of the infection, I could start healing properly. Now the scratches are all healed (except for the faint pink lines I'll have for a while), and so is one of the bites-- I heal fast when I get a chance! lol.

I have three marks left that are still scabby (the two big bites, and one other smaller one that got infected, too), but other than still being a teeny bit swollen and red right around them, they're coming all great. I only really even notice they're still there when I bump them on something.

Also, right around the area of the bites, my skin is REALLY dry, and I'm not entirely sure why. It might be because of the antibiotics (which also make me quite sick to my stomach, in case I haven't mentioned it before), or maybe just because of the infection... who knows. I'll deal with it when the scabs are gone and I just have more scars to add to my collection. XD

Honestly? I find the number of scars I have amusing, myself. ^_^;;

OH! And I was fiddling with the random P.O.S. stuff I had hanging around, and putting it all into boxes, and LO AND BEHOLD, the box for [livejournal.com profile] cat_mcdougall is full and ready to ship! Actually, it's a little more than full. ^^;; Mostly because there's a bunch of stuff in it for her kidlings...

The ones for [livejournal.com profile] etcetera_cat and [livejournal.com profile] kierseth still need some stuff to finish filling them, but I figure they'll be done pretty soon. I can probably finish them and get Mom to stop and mail them on the way out of town next weekend. WHOOT. X3

And on that note... ONE MORE WEEK UNTIL ANIME NORTH. ^__^

EDIT: OMG CSI season finale tonight! *flails*
senashenta: (Alchemy Rulz)
Today my hand is very red, mottled across the back, and my finger/thumb joints are stiff. The tooth puncture marks are pussy (blegh) and inflamed, while the scratches are healing just like any other scratch normally would. Despite the state of the bites, my hand isn't any more swollen than it was yesterday-- though it isn't any less swollen, either. :P

Anyway, because of all that fun stuff, I went back to the hospital this morning to have them look at it again. They weren't really busy, thankfully, so I wasn't actually there for long. I love short hospital visits!

The doctor I saw this time was different than the one I saw two days ago (that's hospital rotation for you), but I think he's the one I saw last time I was there, back in the fall for the problems I had with my lungs. ^_^ He's a nice guy, even though I can't remember his name, lol.

So he had a look at my hand, and asked about the antibiotics I was prescribed on Tuesday. He says that, in his experience, almost all cat bites become infected, so it's normal that mine are. He also told me that it takes a few doses for the antibiotics to get into my bloodstream enough to work, but they should start kicking in properly tomorrow or the next day, and then I'll start seeing improvement.

There really wasn't much he could do for me, since I've already got the Apo-Amoxi Clav to take, but he gave me a tetnus shot just in case (I don't know why they didn't give me one on Tuesday, honestly), and told me that if it doesn't start getting better some time in the next couple of days, I should come back again.

Right, so! There you go. I still can't use my hand much (especially my thumb when it comes to gripping), but even though I've got an infection, it's normal. WHOOT.

Also, owie. The muscles in my arm where I got that tetnus shot are really sore right now... ;-; *whiner*

That aside, I cooked that turkey yesterday, even though I only had one hand to work with. >^-^;; I wouldn't have done it, except that it had been thawed for a couple of days, and really needed to be cooked. Sarah helped me move it around and stir the stuffing, and the rest of it was done with just my left hand and my right elbow to pin stuff down when I needed to. ^_^;; Ahaha...

It turned out really good, even though it was awkward to do. Now that it's all done, I gave a bunch of Sarah, and a bunch to Mom and Lee, and then put together six turkey-and-stuffing TV-type dinners and stuck them in the freezer. YAY TURKEY.

I also have a big container of bones and meat scraps, and in a couple of days when my hand is feeling a bit better, I'm going to make a huge-ass pot of soup. X3

I just set about changing my bandages... and my hand is all infected. So I guess tomorrow morning, I'll be off to the hospital. Again.

BLOODY FUCKING HELL.

So I took my girlies outside to play today! And I have a story to go with it!

MUCH CURSING FOLLOWS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I took everything down for the bunnies, then went back upstairs, loaded them into the cat carrier and hauled them down three flights of stairs, and let them out in the play area... I was sitting watching them play, and suddenly I saw Sarah's cat, Fritz, wander past in the corner of my eye. I was like "HUH??" because Fritz and Fuzzy (as well as my cats) aren't allowed outside.

Long story short; Don installed our back door a couple of months ago, and did a half-assed job, as usual. He didn't bother to cut a notch for the latch, so the only way to shut the door and keep it shut is to use the deadbolt. *SO NOT IMPRESSED*

Since the back door is down at the bottom of the stairs in the back sun room, I closed the door to the back room and locked the cats in the main apartment, because there's no way to shut the back door from the outside, and I didn't want them getting out-- here's the kicker. When Don installed the back door, he didn't bother to go out and buy a new deadbolt for it, he took the one off the sun room door. So basically, there's no way to lock that door now... and the cats somehow opened it.

Right, so I see Fritz and I'm like CRAP, and I look around a bit, and Fuzzy's there, too. I didn't want to leave the rabbits by themselves, but I had to run and catch the cats, and I figured they'd be okay for a minute or two... so I chased Fritz and Fuzzy around to the front of the house and up onto the porch.

Fuzzy jumped up on the windowsill and cowered, because he's never been outside, and was scared shitless. Fritz, on the other hand, tried to dash around me to freedom again-- I grabbed him on the way past.

BIG. FUCKING. MISTAKE.

He hisses at me, then wraps himself around my arm, starts biting and clawing, and totally shreds my hand. I went "SON OF A BITCH!", but didn't let go. (I was PISSED, then, and so not giving him what he wanted). Instead, I slammed him down onto the porch, with him still biting me, and pinned him there. Then I grabbed him by the scruff of the neck with my other hand, and hauled him inside.

So I'm bleeding all over the damn place, I'm holding Fritz, he's THRASHING and WAILING, I'm praying he doesn't get himself turned around enough to latch onto my other hand, and I'm opening doors with the one that he mauled. Halfway up the stairs, he swiped a paw and managed to nick my other hand-- and I snapped "SHIT!" really loudly.

Sarah heard me, and opened the last door in time for me to lose my grip on the cat, and for him to zoom past her, into the back room (since the door was still open), down the stairs, and BACK OUTSIDE.

She chased after him (she apologized later for that, and said she would have stayed to help me if she'd realized how bad I was hurt), and I bled down the hall to the bathroom to wash my hand off and see just how bad the damage actually was.

THE FUCKING CAT LITERALLY TORE CHUNKS OUT OF MY HAND.

Little ones, but still!

When Sarah got back inside, I was just coming down from my apartment with my gauze, and she helped me wrap my hand up. Said gauze is about seven layers thick, and I still bled right through it. In fact, that was over two hours ago, and I'm still bleeding from a couple of spots where he chewed flesh away. I should probably have gone to the hospital, but it's pretty much too late now...

We managed to get Fuzzy back inside with no problem, but Fritz took off and was gone for about a half an hour before he came back. Neither of us even bothered to look for him-- we were both too pissed off. And Sarah apologized to me a bunch of times (like it was her that bit me, and not her cat, or something.) Eventually, Fritz showed up on the porch again, and Sarah grapped him by the fur and threw him inside. She is SO not pleased with him right now. (Actually, I think she's more angry with him than I am...)

So basically, my hand hurts like hell. Typing is okay, but using my computer mouse KILLS.

Anyway! After that adventure, I went back outside to sit with my rabbits again, and Sarah brought Ritter out to join us. They all seemed to really like being outside, though they did a lot of O_O;; eyes for the first couple of minutes. lol.

And I took a bunch of pictures. )

Now I think I might have to go down to the pharmacy to get some more gauze and antiseptic... =_=;;

EDIT: I was just talking to Mom, and she thinks I should go get a tentus shot or whatever just in case. So! Of to the hospital I go anyway!

EDIT-EDIT: They didn't give me a shot, but they prescribed a bunch of antibiotics and warned me to come back ASAP if it gets any redder. Incidentally, WTF FRITZ?? ) >_<;; That's just the top side... the bottom side is all sliced up, too, as well as along the inside between my thumb and index finger. -_-;; And the big hole there is still oozing, over five hours after the original incident...

EDIT AGAIN: Oh yeah, and the ponies came in today. Thank you [livejournal.com profile] papercut917! =3

OMG EDIT: 8:48 PM, and still bleeding... =_=;;
senashenta: (Babbling Babbling Babbling)
Uncle Len came up yesterday to pick up Italia Drop, so that's one less pony hanging around here, I guess. I kinda miss her. Once I'm done the pony I'm working on now, I should get off my rear and get around to rehairing the version of ID that I made for myself to keep...

In other news, watch me whine my jaw hurts still. I think the inside of my cheek, and the gums around where the Dentist was working are bruised or something-- wouldn't surprise me. Sometimes novocaine makes me bruise for some reason that I haven't figured out yet. ^_^; Still. I'll be happy when my face doesn't ache anymore.

At least it's not all swollen or anything.

And it's snowing right now. BLEGH. *hates snow with a passion* Oh well... it's actually not so bad, as long as I'm inside.

.....

Heh. Okay, so a couple of days ago I was at Mom's place, and decided to go through my old closet-- when I moved out, I took 98% of my stuff with me (obviously), but left my collection behind. The idea was that once I had everything organized here and had figured out where I had room for it, I would bring it over. Mom didn't mind me leaving it in the closet for a while, so it was all good.

Right. Back story.

I collect Sailormoon paraphanalia. I've been collecting it since 1996/1997, so for about ten years now. As you can imagine, I have THOUSANDS of items, all of which are meticulously boxed away right now, since I have no room for them otherwise.

It's been a long time since I went through it all, so I decided to poke through it and do a bit of an inventory; Mom sat and watched me do it, and just boggled the entire time. It was quite funny, actually. >^-^;; Said collection takes over two huge plastic tubs, four boxes (the size you would use if you were moving), three shoebox-sized boxes, and has spilled over into 'I have nowhere else to put this, so I guess it'll just sit here on the floor/shelves/whatever' space as well.

In the spring, I plan to bring it all over from her place to store it here, and when I do that I'll go through it and take an inventory, just for a lark. It should be interesting to see it all in list form. XD lol.

A rather interesting meme-thing, stolen from a bunch o' people:

I'd be interested in seeing what you guys thought of me...

On the Other News front, fucking ow. *nurses jaw* ;__; lol.

I got that root canal done today, and it really was no big deal. As per [livejournal.com profile] catystorm's advice, I brought my CD player and listened to music while they were working on me-- and I almost fell asleep, because music does that to me and I didn't sleep very much/well last night. ^_^;

Basically, the result of the whole ordeal is that 3/4 of my face is numb (it took 4 shots of novocaine to numb me enough for them to work on me.) Bah. Also, apparently the tooth was way worse than they thought it was when they looked at yesterday's x-rays; it was supposed to take 45 minutes and took almost an hour and a half instead.

If they'd known it was that bad before they started working on it, they probably would have just yanked the tooth, instead of trying to fix it... ^^;;

I have a 'script for antibiotics that I have to pick up later. Und, I'm supposed to take ibuprofen until it stops hurting, because apparently it's going to hurt like a BITCH when the freezing wears off later (that doesn't really surprise me, though, lol.)

Yup. So there you go.

EDIT: And by the by, [livejournal.com profile] cassandracsenta finally got her packages! The CDs, and her Christmas gift that I mailed about three months ago! ^__^ Despite my current pain, I am very happy about this. Now I need to start putting together new P.O.S. boxes so they'll be done relatively soon. Maybe in the next couple of months... =3

And So...

I've been to the Dentist, finally. They took x-rays and generally poked and prodded at me and my teeth.

All that pain?

Yeah. Infected tooth.

So I have to go back in tomorrow to have a root canal done. =_=;;

On top of that, I also have several cavities that need to be dealt with over the next couple of months. Whoot fun stuff.

Pain...
