Sena's DW :: Watermelon Life

Okay lol, so I finally decided to actually watch Twilight. And despite that I swore I wouldn't, I squeed at it like a little girl a couple of times. *facepalm* I'm so embarrassed that I did it, too. I mean wtf self, wtf? xD;

Dad came up yesterday morning (I guess technically it's two days ago now, but whatever), and we exchanged Christmas gifts. He got me the new Valdemar novel, which gives me massive fangirl glee. He also got me a memory card for my camera, which is awesome, since it gives me a spare for when I go to cons and stuff. And a digital photo keychain, and also a copy of The Dark Knight.

My brother and I got him a couple of Star Wars bobbleheads, and the first season of Starblazers (Space Battleship Yamato in Japanese), which was SUPER expensive. Oo; My brother got the first two seasons of Supernatural.

He couldn't stay long, but it was nice to see him anyway. We only get to see Dad maybe three times a year (not counting when Mom and I are down by his place for Anime North in May), so any time he can make it up is good.

I ended up not going with Mom to the Chiropractor and Grandma's place, because I'm still not feeling 100%.

It turned out to be fine, though, because it meant I was home when the mail came, and among the various stuff that arrived was one of my Ouran artbooks, and my Heliotrope doujinshi. Now I'm fangirling over said doujin, as the art is LOVE, and it's done by the same person who runs this site (Kisaragi Manami.) =3

My artbook was bent in half. Just like the last ones. >>;; But I fixed that with a pile of encyclopedias.

After lunch time (around 2-ish), Mom got back from up north and picked me up. We went back to her place and I started laundry (yey) and pies. 1 apple and 2 lemon merangue, plus a little apple pudding thing because I had some extra filling from the pie.

Then I cooked dinner, which was... uh, something I randomly threw together, which turned out really good. It was chicken, fried in butter with onions, celery and garlic, then vegetables; snow peas, broccoli, green pepper, brown mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. Then it was added to tri-color pasta (fusilli), and four-cheese alfredo scauce.

*WINS*

I'm still feeling sick, but at least I also feel accomplished. Now I shall be putting out the recycle/garbage for tomorrow morning, and going back to working on ponies. I have seven of them on the table right now, in the middle of being painted. XD;;

EDIT for aiko_yamada: So apparently, the guy hasn't shipped my copy of the art book yet. >>;; So I asked him to please ship that one to you, and I think this time he might actually do it. Mostly since I didn't even give him my address this time, I chose the "no address needed" option on paypal, and then filled in your address in the message box. XD; But if this one somehow manages to find it's way to my house as well, then I'll forward it to you on my own, so don't worry about it. :)

I couldn't sleep last night, so after much tossing and turning, several meandering trips around the house out of boredom, and so much playing with Loki that I now sport at least a dozen new kitten-scratches... I sat down to watch anime. ^__^;

I brought a bunch of my stuff with me when I came to house/dog sit, so I hunkered down at the computer and poked through my discs until I finally decided on Loveless. And so, starting from the very beginning, I watched all of the series! XD Yeah, granted it's only 12 episodes, but still!

And I wasn't even TOTALLY somewhat confused by the last episode. Not at all. |_|;; I swear. And I'm not going to have to sit down and watch it again to try to make some more sense of it, either. Really.

It had a happy-sad ending to it, though. :)

I was pretty pleased with Ritsuka's character development from start to finish, though. They did a good job, and the transition was seamless; you look back to the beginning of the series and go "wow, he's come a long way in 12 episodes, hasn't he?" lol.

Now I'm kind of groggy-fangirly, which is (needless to say) a strange combination. ^_^;;

Well, my jaw is feeling quite a bit better the last couple of days, but last night my right lung started hurting. Because obviously, I have to have pain in at least one body part at all times. < /sarcam > -_-;;

Oh well. If it doesn't get better, at least I have an appointment with my doctor soon. I'm going to go in to see her with a while REAM of stuff that I need her to check out... as usual. :P

Hm. So today I downloaded episode 10 of Ouran (note: *squee*), and a few episodes of Gakuen Heaven; I watched the first episode, and honestly wasn't really impressed. But since it is just the first episode, I figure I'll watch at least a couple more before I decide if it's worth keeping up with the series or not. :)

I have a ton of stuff on my hard drive again, now... I need to burn some discs to clear it off and then defragment. Other than Ouran (both subbed and raw) and Gakuen Heaven, I've also got a bunch of Pita Ten episodes, and the FMA movie. >^-^;; The problem is that The Conqueror of Shamballa is too big to fit onto a disc, so I have to split it into at least two parts (possibly three), before I can get it off my computer...

AAAAA~nyway.

Oh, my button maker came in today. ^_^ Eheheh. Yeah, it's a Hello Kitty one. So what? The same seller had like the exact same button maker, only not HK, and it was a lot more expensive, so... yeah. Who cares what the logo says? It works, and that's the important thing.

Ahaha~~ all the instructions were in Chinese. ^^; But I figured it out on my own, based on the pictures and some trial-and-error. I only screwed up three buttons before I had it figured out! YAY SENA! =3

Basically, I bought it because... I want to make buttons. Yeah, stupid, huh? :P lol. It makes 1 + 1/4 inch buttons (the little kind), and I kind of want to find/buy one that will make 2 + 1/4 inch ones (the big kind), too. Mostly so that I can make buttons for next year's Anime North convention, possibly as promotion for my ponies. We'll see. ^^

I made myself and cassandracsenta each an Ouran button today while I was practicing. X3

The set only comes with the making for 15 buttons, though, so I need to get some refills. Luckily, those are cheap and easy to come by, so it'll be no problem. Wow, though. Making buttons is so much easier than I thought it would be. >^-^;; Why did I think it'd be complicated? Ah, who knows...

....

Then tonight Mom took me out grocery shopping, and we went to get burgers for supper.

Oh, and Neko is pretty much fine with Loki now, except when Loki tried to get at his food dish. Then all bets are off. ;)

You guys, seriously. Loki is such a spaz. ^_^; He's constantly running head-first into stuff, and when he wants something he'll toddle over and do this little dance at my feet... it's really hard to describe. If I wear a long skirt and stand still, he scoots under it and runs in circles. It's so cute and funny, I almost don't want him to grow out of it... >^-^;;

And last night he scared the BLOODY HELL out of Neko! Ahaha... Neko was sleeping next to me when I went to bed last night, and Loki crawled under the bed, then came around and tried to jump up on the back side. He bounced up and landed right behind Neko, and Neko just went "MROW!!" and shot across the room. XD

No wonder he doesn't like him... ^^;;

Anyhoo.

In regards to my last post, Ouran High School Host Club is the funniest damn show I've watched in a long time. ^__^ I think everyone should go and download it. It's via bittorrent. Aaaah, so much fun... X3

I've also been watching some episodes of Princess Princess... which is one of those really WTF-inspiring shows. ^^; It's fun, but... strange. Yes. STRANGE.

Also, the lockjaw I've been dealing with is starting to get worse again... the soreness is back, and the muscles in my jaw are getting stiffer. But this time the stiffness is travelling farther back into the left side of my jaw-- I can almost feel it in the lower part of my eat canal, which isn't good.

ARGH. Gonna have to go to the after hours clinic...

Oh yeah, I got a grand total of about an hour's sleep last night. Go me.

And in all my sleeplessness, I didn't even get anything accomplished, which makes it even worse. Though I did finish watching Hana Yori Dango, continued fangirling the whole time, and then felt sad that there were only 9 episodes when it was all over. Then I watched Angel for about three hours, since the Space channel was playing it.

So basically, I watched a lot of TV. T_T

Stupidly, I actually do feel kind of accomplished just for finishing HYD, though; it's one of the only series that I've actually managed to finish in a while. I'm partway through about two dozen various series, and in the last year I've only finished... three? Prétear, Green Green and now Hana Yori Dango. Oh... and Gravitation way back this time last year.

MEH, I suck. :P

Now I think I'm going to go and clean out animal cages for a while, until it comes time to talk to Cassandra-san... ah! Cleaning! That reminds me!

I AM IN LOVE WITH MR. CLEAN MAGIC ERASERS. Seriously, I'm not even kidding. I bought a pack last time I was at Walmart to try them out, since I've heard they're good, and earlier I decided to use one on some smudges on one of my walls... and they are AMAZING. I almost wish I had more stuff to try them on.

...I said almost. I choose not to make messes just for the sake of cleaning them up. lol.
