senashenta: icon NOT up for grabs! (Esprit Studios)

Most of my Vograce Pontypool buttons I have to sell at my Esprit Studios Etsy store. They're quotes from the Pontypool movie, which is one of my favorites and I highly recommend. It's lesser known though, so I'm not sure how well these buttons will sell in comparison to some of my others. The fifth and final one in the set, not pictured here, says "No One Has Seen Honey The Cat."

I have four (4) freaking button making machines (three different sizes of buttons) and all the button parts for them and I haven't been able to USE THEM in MONTHS because thebuttonguy.net went down and never came back up. That was the site I was using to design and print all my button patterns, and without it I'm BONED because I suck at photoshop and don't know how to design button pages on there. Not to go back to Poe again, but they were supposed to be teaching me how to use photoshop before they abandoned me, and now I'm just... floundering.

I've figured out how to do simple text buttons with a flat color background using Vograce's templates (one button at a time), but they aren't meant to be printed, they're for sending in to Vograce themselves for THEM to manufacture the buttons for you. So that's what I've been doing with a few buttons the last couple of months, but like... I had SO MANY buttons with beautiful backgrounds and everything on thebuttonguy.net and when they went down I lost all my designs and everything because they were stored in my account there. On photoshop I can't even figure out HOW to insert an image as a background. =/

It's very disheartening and frustrating and I'm kicking myself for not backing up all my designs on my own computer. Like, come on Sena, what were you THINKING??

EDIT: Coincidentally, the last of my Vograce button orders came in today so now I have no excuse not to photograph them all and get them up in my Etsy store. Yaaaaaaay. /sarcasm Photographing stuff is my least favorite thing about selling online. :P

...I am exhausted and was supposed to be laying down for a nap. But then the mailman came and brought my button maker. =w= So of course I had to try it out at least once. YEY.

Maddie, I know you're not online for now, but when you get your power back, here's the deal; the basic kit I bought is for 2+1/4" buttons. That's what I can make for now. Some time between now and April-ish though, I plan to get the 1+1/4" assembly rings/circle cutter so I can make that size as well. So those are your options for sizes. ♥ Also, judging by the layouts they have for examples, the designs you already sent me need to be more centered, with more background color around the text/image. (Yours are square with text/image right to the edge, so the edges and corners would be cut off when they wrapped around the button.) Does that make sense? Maybe I'll fiddle with one of them and see if I can get it semi-right so I can show you what I mean. >>;

Well, my jaw is feeling quite a bit better the last couple of days, but last night my right lung started hurting. Because obviously, I have to have pain in at least one body part at all times. < /sarcam > -_-;;

Oh well. If it doesn't get better, at least I have an appointment with my doctor soon. I'm going to go in to see her with a while REAM of stuff that I need her to check out... as usual. :P

Hm. So today I downloaded episode 10 of Ouran (note: *squee*), and a few episodes of Gakuen Heaven; I watched the first episode, and honestly wasn't really impressed. But since it is just the first episode, I figure I'll watch at least a couple more before I decide if it's worth keeping up with the series or not. :)

I have a ton of stuff on my hard drive again, now... I need to burn some discs to clear it off and then defragment. Other than Ouran (both subbed and raw) and Gakuen Heaven, I've also got a bunch of Pita Ten episodes, and the FMA movie. >^-^;; The problem is that The Conqueror of Shamballa is too big to fit onto a disc, so I have to split it into at least two parts (possibly three), before I can get it off my computer...

AAAAA~nyway.

Oh, my button maker came in today. ^_^ Eheheh. Yeah, it's a Hello Kitty one. So what? The same seller had like the exact same button maker, only not HK, and it was a lot more expensive, so... yeah. Who cares what the logo says? It works, and that's the important thing.

Ahaha~~ all the instructions were in Chinese. ^^; But I figured it out on my own, based on the pictures and some trial-and-error. I only screwed up three buttons before I had it figured out! YAY SENA! =3

Basically, I bought it because... I want to make buttons. Yeah, stupid, huh? :P lol. It makes 1 + 1/4 inch buttons (the little kind), and I kind of want to find/buy one that will make 2 + 1/4 inch ones (the big kind), too. Mostly so that I can make buttons for next year's Anime North convention, possibly as promotion for my ponies. We'll see. ^^

I made myself and [livejournal.com profile] cassandracsenta each an Ouran button today while I was practicing. X3

The set only comes with the making for 15 buttons, though, so I need to get some refills. Luckily, those are cheap and easy to come by, so it'll be no problem. Wow, though. Making buttons is so much easier than I thought it would be. >^-^;; Why did I think it'd be complicated? Ah, who knows...

....

Then tonight Mom took me out grocery shopping, and we went to get burgers for supper.

Oh, and Neko is pretty much fine with Loki now, except when Loki tried to get at his food dish. Then all bets are off. ;)

....

EXCITING, ne? ^_~
