Been on the bus for 12 hours, which is much better than 26 the first year I came down to the States. I slept most of the trip this time anyway, since I didn't sleep the night before. Had too much to do; in the afternoon I took the town bus to Mom's place to do laundry, and when Mom got off work she had a coffee and then we went to my apartment to start organizing and moving the animals. Somehow, though spacial magic I only partially understand, we managed to fit everything in only two trips with Mom's little car. We were channeling Houdini or something, idk. So we settled the rabbits and cats at their temporary home in Mom's basement and then had dinner, after which we went back out so I could pick up rabbit/cat litter and a couple other misc. odds-and-sods that I needed to before I left. After that we went back so I could finish my laundry and then Mom took me home.

With the cats out from underfoot, I took the opportunity to clean and vacuum the house. YAY CLEAN FLOORS AND STUFF. I also did some baking; Broken Glass Torte for Dad (does that count as baking? XD;) and fruit loaf as well. It started off as banana bread to use up the bananas before I left, then I ended up adding pineapple, then cherries, then coconut. Then I realized I didn't have any flour. *facepalm* So I had to improvise and used my Magic Bullet to make corn and oat flour instead. It worked fine, just took less time to bake through and didn't rise as much as if I'd used white flour. So whatever. I made four loaves, so I took one to Mom and brought one with me for Dad and Lois as well. Baking done, I did the dishes, then continued cleaning. Then at like 3am I finally started packing for my trip. xD; Way to procrastinate, right? I know, I know.

Anyway, packing took FOREVER as usual, especially since it took me an entire hour to decide which beads I was going to bring with me. >>; Last year I managed to limit myself to like four boxes, plus a box of charms/pendants and a box of findings. Um. Yeah. This year? Like twelve boxes of beads, plus a big box of charms, a big box of pendants, and three boxes of findings. I fail, what can I say? I also had to pack Maddie and Chloe's Christmas and Birthday presents that I never got around to mailing. Because I also fail at THAT, too. So like half of my luggage this time is made up of stuff that I brought down for them. Then there's my cosplay stuff as well. I actually pack very light for ME, it's just that I can't go anywhere without bringing copious amounts of STUFF for other people and projects. ^_^;

So, having not slept a wink all night, Dad picked me and my luggage up atound 9am. We went out to the res for him to get smokes, then back into town so I could stop at Mom's and drop of my keys (so that she can get into my apartment to feed Genbu and Aya and the fish) and her vacuum (which I had borrowed the night before.) She and Lee were up, so I said a quick goodbye to them and then we were on our way. The trip from Orillia to Georgetown was mostly uneventful. Except for the massive detour because of an earlier car accident on the highway, our brakes almost going out because of sitting on them so much in stop-and-go-traffic, and a short stop at Toys R' Us in Mississagua. TOYS. YAY. Dad found something for his Star Wars collection, and I got come LPS for my own, as well as some animal erasers because SO CUTE OMG SQUEE. I also wanted a Transformers Ravage figure, but I managed to resist. Mostly by reminding myself that anything I bought there I would have to haul down to the US and back again lol.

Oh, note to self: 12th line outside of Orillia? FUCKING FULL TO BURSTING WITH CRAB APPLES. GET MOM TO TAKE YOU OUT THERE IN SEPTEMBER.

At the kennel, there was a little Lang family get together for one of Lois' granddaughters' birthday. It was slightly awkward for me to be there, but they were all nice to me. I did get some weird looks from the kids, though, since they had never met me before. Plus my hair cut is totally like a dude's now. But in general it was fine. After they left I got to talk with Lois some, which I always enjoy. But around 7 I HAD to lie down for a nap. I just hit the wall and couldn't keep going. My body was suddenly like "I QUIT". So I crashed on the living room couch for two hours. Then at 9pm I got back up so we could get underway.

Dad and Lois have accuired some dogs who aren't poms in the last year. First was Maggie, a pug/boxer cross that Lois' mother bought and then decided she didn't want, so Lois offered to take her. Then there was Lucy, a little Jack Russell who is really thin and lankey compared to most Jacks. Then a couple months ago they got another Jack, Sadie, who was half-starved and hadn't had any real affection or anything in her entire life. The pics from the day they first picked her up are just sad; she was so thin her ribs and spine stuck out. Poor thing. But she's all chubby and happy now, so it's all good. While Lucy has attached herself to Lois, Sadie has adopted Dad. And Dad is absolutely head-over-heels in love with her. But to be fair, Sadie is the suckiest, most friendly, affectionate little dog you could ever imagine. <3

Anyway, since the market for poms isn't great right now and the market for Jacks is still decent, they decided to give a litter of Jacks a try, so they went out and found a male, Max, who is the newest addition to the pack. Sort of. Because he's unaltered he has to stay in the kitchen and can't run with the girls or EVERYONE would be pregnant, including every human leg who happened too close. lol. Max is a sweetheart, but a little excitable. In more than one way. Haha. They plan to try breeding him to Maggie next year for some cross pups, and then Lucy the year after that. Sadie won't be old enough to breed safely for a couple of years yet, but she's the one that they're really looking forward to getting puppies from since her personality is so perfect. I guess we'll see!

Right now they have one litter of tiny itty bitty pom puppies that are RIGHT AT THE EPITOME OF CUTENESS. Two blacks, a cream (with siamese-like points and some white markings) and an orange-sable. (Their mother is black; idk about their father. It was this pairing that spawned the Parti Poms earlier this year.) They're maybe two weeks old, can see and hear and toddle around a little, but are generally just chubby round little poofy things that lay around with tubby milk!bellies and kind of resemble miniscule bear cubs. SO FREAKING ADORABLE. And they're all friendly as hell, and their mom has no trouble letting you reach in to pet them. Which is good because I spent a good amount of time smishing me some little pups and cooing at them and letting them suck on my nose and chin. X3 Dad says he'll take some pics so I can share. You guys. Seriously. You can't even comprehend the level of OMGCUTE!!1! these dogs are without seeing them. I WILL SHARE, AND YOU WILL SQUEE YOURSELVES TO DEATH I SWEAR.

If they weren't way too young to be sepparated from their mom, I would have been seriously tempted to try smuggling one of them out in my pocket. Heh.

Anyhow, around 9pm Dad and I took off and drove into Toronto so I could catch my bus. We even only got a tiny bit lost! And when we got to the terminal Dad hung around with me until it was time for my bus to board, then he headed home. He did call a few minutes later, though, just to make sure I was on board and on my way fine. Then the 12 hour ride commenced, but to be honest I only remember about 1/4 of it because it was dark and the bus was moving and I just fell asleep.

Ugh, US customs was a pain in the ass this year. And yet at the same time, managed to be really polite and friendly about it. It was weird.

First, the guy almost didn't let me into "his country" because of my passport photo. That one I had anticipated being a problem, since my passport photo was taken back when I was 260+ pounds. I've lost over a hundred pounds AND cut all my hair off since I had it taken, so it doesn't really look like me anymore. But eventually he decided the photo was workable, he just highly reccommended that I get a new one before next summer. Then he balked because I only have $300 US cash on me. WELL WHAT? I have more money, just not IN CASH ON MY PERSON. JEEZ. He was like "how are you going to support yourself while you're down there? $300 won't even feed one person for a whole month!" but I explained about the money situation and staying with friends and etc etc etc and he finally gave in... only to ask if I "had something to be nervous about". Because my hands were shaking. *FACEPALM*

I told him it was because of blood sugar, because that was esier than explaining that I SHAKE LIKE A CHIHUAHUA ON SPEED. ALL THE TIME. FOR NO REASON. So, that sorted... he wanted to know if I had any reason to return to Canada. I was like "...bwuh?" But apparently, because I'm not working, he was concerned I was going to just, yanno, STAY in the US and not go back to Canadaland. Forever. So what proof did I have that I would be going home after the trip? We finally decided that my family and pets were relatively decent reasons. At which point he demanded to know about Maddie and Chloe's home and job statuses, and expressed concerns for me being able to support myself (AGAIN) since neither of them has a full-time job. ASDGH. I was starting to get frustrated by then. I mean really, really frustrated.

I just smiled anyway.

But I finally did get out of there and on to baggage check, which is always interesting because of the weird shit I bring with me for cosplay and stuff. At least the baggage checkers usually get a laugh or two out of it. They take their jobs seriously, but not nearly as seriously as the guys asking the initial questions. =/ In any case, the guy checking my bags only had a problem with my snacks. He took my apple, my cherries, and my cherry tomatoes. Boooooo. But oh well. They're easily replaceable. And he didn't even make a mess of my bags like most customs guys do. I didn't have to reorganize anything at all! (...until later when my backpack kicked the bucket. Then I had to transfer my lunch stuff into another bag and just chucked the backpack in the trash. It was a dollar store one anyway, so meh.)

So, that done, back on the bus and on with the trip! ...so basically, more sleeping. lmao.

At Detroit, though, I had a stopover for an hour until my next bus came in. I got to talking to one of the girls that had been on the last bus and was going to be on the next one. Tyra was super nice and we got along great. So we chatted for the rest of the stopover and then on the bus some before both of us decided we needed to sleep some more. She got off two stops before I got off in Dayton, but we exchanged info so we can get ahold of each other later. ^^ That was once thing about the first year I came down here; I met that girl, Z, on the bus, and we got along great, but I forgot to get her email. I still kind of regret that. =/

But, all in all, it was a pretty good trip. I got in here at Dayton around 1pm and have been waiting for Maddie and Chloe while I've been writing this entry. Maddie had a test to do or whatever so they couldn't be here to meet me when I got in. But that's fine. I have Squall with me, so I've kept busy, and they're on their way now. Should be here any minute! ...and Squall is yelling at me that his battery is low. And I have to go to the bathroom. So I guess I'm done this journal. XD;;

I hope everyone out there had a great Christmas! ^_^

My Christmas was good, I'm happy to say. All of December had been really stressful and depressing and I've been having a lot of trouble, so I wasn't really looking forward to Christmas because the 24/25/26th are always the most busy days for our family. But I was actually able to relax and enjoy things, which was nice.

On the 24th I did very little, just hung out around the house and cleaned, played with the cats and finished last-minute gift stuff.

That day a package from Maddie and Chloe came in the mail, which made me really happy. ♥ It had Cheesy Enchilada Hamburger Helper (♥!!), some lotion that I wanted for Lois and my Christmas gift in it; some pretty beads, and a bracelet with matching earrings that Maddie made-- they are gorgeous, and I LOVE them, and they even matched my Christmas outfit perfectly, so I wore them to the family get together on the 26th, where I got lots of compliments on them. :3

The next morning Mom picked me up around 11 and took me and all my gifts for everyone over to her place, and we finished up the last bits of cooking/baking for the family gathering. Then Grandma got there around 1pm, and we all exchanged gifts.

I gave Grandma her souvenirs from my trip to the US in the summer (finally lol) and her Christmas present was a glass vase with decorative butterflies and a candle. I got Lee a wall clock shaped like a guitar (a Gibson, which is the one he uses most out of his actual guitars), and some blank VHS tapes because the ones he's using right now are old and wearing out. Then I got Mom a decorative 3D wolf plate, two scented oil infusers, and copies of The DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons on DVD. I also got two gifts that were for both of them; a wall sign ("Pomeranian Crossing" haha) and a bag of goodies (chocolates, cookies, etc.). And I got my brother three couch pillows (I got them at Matsuricon from the wonderful and insanely talented NeonDragon) and a copy of Gwenhwyfar by Mercedes Lackey. ♥

As for me, I got a whole set of new bakeware (two cookie sheets, two round cake tins, a loaf pan, a rectangular cake pan, a muffin pan and a pizza pan!!), an electric mixer (eee!! ♥♥), a DVD copy of Independence Day (to replace my worn-out VHS one), a zombie movie DVD set (Last of the Living; Grave Mistakes; Awaken The Dead and I Am Omega; my brother tells me I'm supposed to tell you all "HEAD NOMMING GOODNESS!"), money from Grandma, and a notebook that is my favourite thing I got this year. It's completely handmade including the paper, and free-trade. It's cover is etched leather with intricate designs and a pentagram on the front. X3!! It's going to be my recipe book, but Imma call it my spell/potion book lol.

And my brother got me the first season of Xena: Warrior Princess, but I already had it, so it's got to be exchanged for something else. Ah well~

Then we had dinner and everyone else played cards for a while. I, meanwhile, dyed my hair back to my natural colour so it would look nice for the family gathering, and also because I was sick of having the huge dark stripe down the middle of my head lol. XD

I went to bed pretty early that night because I had to get up early-ish the next morning to make the dip for the get-together (it took an hour in the slow cooker.) Then we all got dressed and ready and packed everything up, and headed out around 11am.

Now, a couple days earlier I had been surfing Kijiji, looking for a new terrarium for Aya because he's starting to outgrow his current one. I found one for $45 (as compared to $250 for a brand-new one), but it was in Barrie. But we were driving right through Barrie to get to my Uncle and Aunt's place for Christmas, so I asked if we could just stop to pick it up on the way past.

So I got it and brought it home last night after everything... and then kind of thought about it and it's kind of tall and thin, which is much better for an aquarium for fish than a snake terrarium. So I decided to set it up as an aquarium (I miss having fishies anyway) and found another terrarium that's more suitable for Aya's needs. It's being delivered tonight. :)

Anyway!

We got to the get-together around 1-ish and set up all the snacks and appetizers and everything, and then sat around and visited and just generally caught up with everyone until it was dinner time.

THEN THERE WAS TURKEY. ASDGH YUMMY!! X3 ♥♥♥

lol and after dinner we set out the desserts (there was a TON of delicious stuff!) and started the gift exchange (we all bring an anonymous gift, then we draw numbers and each of us can either open a new gift or steal someone else's.) There was a lot of good stuff this year; a couple nice blankets, a box of chocolates, a tea set, a set of glass bakeware and etc. I ended up with the glass bakeware (which I do kind of need for doing casseroles and that kind of thing, but Lee had ended up with a set of china popcorn bowls that he would never use (and neither would Mom or my bro) so I traded them. The bowls are actually good sizes; the big one can be used as a mixing bowl, and the smaller ones for a variety of things. Plus I can always borrow the glassware if I need to. XD;;

It was fun and very enjoyable. The only semi-bad part was that I had a run-in with a peanut butter cookie. =/

Aunt Clare had brought a tray of desserts, and most of them she had made but she included a few that a friend of hers had made too, and some of them turned out to have peanut butter in them. It was my fault too, because I'm so used to not having to worry about peanuts at family functions (because they all know about my allergy), I wasn't as careful as I normally am. But as soon as I bit into it I knew there was peanut butter in it, and spat it out without actually swallowing. Then I rinsed my mouth out. A LOT.

Poor Clare felt so bad about it, but it wasn't her fault. And I was fine (with the exception of a headache from it later; my peanut allergy actually gives me migraines) so it wasn't a big deal. I just took some aspirin and that was that. :)

Soooo... we all visited some more, and then around 8pm we decided it was time to start heading home. We packed up (I took some desserts home with me because I'm baaaad lol), and on the way out the door Uncle Alec and Aunt Brenda gave me a couple of Cat Cubes for my kitties to play in. THE CATS ARE IN LOVE WITH THEM LMAO.

Once we got back to Orillia, we went to Mom and Lee's place and unpacked what we had to, then packed up the rest of my things and Lee drove me home, where my cats were waiting to AMBUSH me because it was after their dinner time and they were STARVING TO DEATH.

So I fed them and put some things away... then decided screw it and just shoved everything into a corner so it was all out of the way and went to bed. I was exhausted, and besides that my head still hurt from the Peanut Encounter (tm). I slept really well, though 'Dion spent all night insisting on being cuddled up under my chin. He has separation issues. >>;

Then today I went downtown to pick up some more reptile bark (for Aya's new terrarium) and a bunch of river rocks for the aquarium. I also got a fish net and a larger hide for Aya since he's outgrown his old one.

After that I spent a couple hours cleaning the apartment and setting the aquarium up. I also called and talked to my brother for a few minutes, and we ended up deciding he was going to come over and hang out for the day. So he showed up a while later and we watched the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still and now we're watching 2012. And I made lasagna and garlic toast for dinner. Yay! :D

And that's about it.

Oh, except that the landlord for the apartment I'm moving to sent me the address today, so I looked it up on Google Earth. It's in a really nice neighbourhood, only two blocks from a grocery store, and only a couple blocks from the park/lake. X3 It's so awesome!!

I still need to go and actually look at the place, but what the hell, it can't be worse than where I am now, right? I'm 99% sure I'm going to take it. ♥

I do need to call Mom and coordinate with her a day we can go and look at it, though... hopefully in a couple days. Hmm.

EDIT: New Terrarium has been delivered, and Aya is all set up! ♥ His new home is much bigger and perfect for him, and will be for the rest of his hopefully long life. :)

And the pet store I got him from has already ordered my new Kenyan Sand Boa, which I will be picking up in February. Her name will be Nyoka (an African name meaning "snake"), and she will be moving into Aya's old terrarium. Since she won't get as big as Aya will, it'll be fine for her and I won't have to worry about upgrading~
senashenta: (Babbling Babbling Babbling)
Alrighty! Today was grocery day, as is every Wednesday. Woo-hoo. /sarcasm lol.

I didn't have much to get for actual groceries, but I did have to get cat food at the vet's (prescription weight management/urinary tract care food that Neko and Loki are on) and there were Sena-prescriptions I had to pick up too.

At the grocery store I mostly picked up some dumplings and wontons (they have these frozen ones that you steam and they come out DELICIOUS and taste JUST LIKE RESTAURANT GYOUZA/WONTONS ASDGH! X3), canned cat food for Tri and fresh cranberries for making home made cranberry sauce. ♥ I also actually found some eye-of-round steaks that were 90% fat free. Finding steaks with a low enough fat content that I'm willing to eat them is rare, and they were ON SALE OMG so I got a pack of two. :3 I might cook one tomorrow night!

And since Lee was driving and I wouldn't have to actually try hauling them home, I got another set of shelves at Walmart to complete my movie wall in the living room. 8D I spent an hour tonight putting them together and reorganizing everything and now they look awesome and I looooove it. X3!! Haha, I have room next to them for a small cabinet too, so I might pick one up at some point. Right now I have a stand there that I built out of DIY cubes.

At Walmart we also stopped to have dinner at McD's, and ran into Sarah and her fiancé, so we sat with them while we ate and had a nice conversation. The more time I spend with Arthur the more I like him... he has a very grounding effect on Sarah, and her complete bullshit has gone down a lot since she ended up with him. Just for that I approve of him, though he's also a really nice guy. :)

Oh, and this afternoon (before we ran into them) I got a message from Sarah about the wedding; her mother found out I was doing the bridal jewelry and wanted to know if I could design a piece for her as well, to match a set of earrings she wants to wear. I told Sarah I could probably manage it, but I couldn't say for sure either way until I had a look at the earrings. Basically, her Mom wants a large snowflake broach, which I think I can manage. I even have a basic idea in my head using fire-polished crackle beads and swarovski crystals, but like I said I won't know 100% until I see what I'm trying to match. And Sarah's Mom is like rich, so she's offered to "generously compensate" me for doing the project. I LOVE MONEYS. \o/

What else...

Well, yesterday I was out and about and picking up a few things. I needed rats for Aya-- my baby has graduated from fuzzies to pups!-- and a couple of other items.

I got some cookie cutters from Mariposa Market, as well as a bottle of sparkling cider to take to the Christmas get together in like a month and a half. I'm way the hell ahead of myself. xD;; And while I was there I taste-tested some eggnog-fudge which was just ahguisldfghuiadfgarngvu *DROOL* *A* I am so getting some of it to take to the get together as well. :3

And while I was out I got Lee a gift card to the music equipment store downtown, since his birthday is Friday. ♥

Anyhoo! I started working on some new recipes for dog and kitty treats for Christmas presents, and right now I'm in the middle of a decent maple-and-brown-sugar one. Just a little tiny bit of sugar and mostly maple extract for flavouring. They're pretty tasty. I still want to do one more, I think maybe liver flavour and bacon bits for "sprinkles". We'll see.

Oh, and today other than Squall arriving I also got the books I ordered the other day; two of them are for Dad for Christmas (Dragongirl by Todd McCaffrey and Legends of Shannara: Bearers of the Black Staff by Terry Brooks) and the other one was a discount book I stumbled upon, Beyond The Body Farm by Dr. Bill Bass & Jon Jefferson. It's by the same people who did Death's Acre, which is one of my favourite anthropology/criminology books of all time. Which I lent to C.A. way the hell back in 2004 and still haven't gotten back from her. *facepalm* She's horrible about remembering stuff like that. I might just break down and buy another copy and let her keep the first one lol. So I'm really looking forward to reading the new one~!

I also got a little package from Maddie and Chloe today! Or, rather, from "Rufus and Reno Shinra"! To "Roxas". I LOLED SO HARD WHEN I SAW THAT. It was epically awesome. ILU GUYS, DID YOU KNOW THAT? It had a couple of buttons and some cute stickers in it. And caramels! And a pretty glass star pendant which I put on right away and am still wearing now. =3 Hehe.

And I guess the only other thing is the cats.

First; 'Dion scared the SHIT out of me today. This morning he was sleeping under the desk in the back room, which he does all the time because it's right in front of the baseboard heater. I went to sit down to check something on the computer, and reached down to move him... and he kind of flopped around and looked at me like he was half out of it, but not in a sleepy!kitty sort of way. His fur was also puffed up, which cats tend to do if they're not feeling well. This concerned me, and I took him back to the living room and laid down to cuddle up with him some-- which was when I noticed he was shivering. Not in an "I'm cold" kind of way, but in an "I'm in pain" kind of way. I cuddled him close and fretted over him and tried really hard not to panic while I decided if I should rush him to the vet or not.

Finally, he fell asleep and so did I. A couple hours later when I woke up he wasn't there, and when I went looking for him I found him playing and looking as if nothing was wrong. I don't know what the problem was, but DAMN, 'DION. PLEASE DON'T PULL THAT KIND OF STUFF. YOU NEARLY SCARED YOUR MOM TO DEATH. D8

I'm going to keep an eye on him for the next couple of days, just in case. But now he's acting completely fine, so...

Second; Got a call from the Barrie SPCA today, finally! Way back when I first brought Tia home, I called them and got on the wait list for having her spayed and Juna neutered. They were still too young at the time, but the wait list was about four months long so by the time they got around to me they'd be the right age. Sounded like a plan to me!

So on Friday I'm taking Juna and Tia to Barrie to be fixed, for $50 per cat. Let me say that again; $50 PER CAT. Instead of the $350/cat it would cost me to take them to the vet in town and have it done. They also say they can give them all their vaccines and etc. at the same time. I AM HAPPY WITH THIS PLAN AND THE COST INVOLVED. ^___^

I couldn't book 'Dion at the same time since he's still too young, but tomorrow I can call and get him on the wait list and in a few months when they get to me again he'll be old enough.

I'm really, really hoping that having Juna neutered will calm Neko down a bit; Neko is NOT Juna's biggest fan right now and keeps kissing and spitting and snarling at him, which I keep trying to dissuade of course, but it's not working. Neko seems to think that Juna is vying for Top Cat in the pride, which Juna really isn't. He just avoids Neko and defers to him, acts submissive, but Neko doesn't take that for what it is and beats the hell out of him whenever they cross paths. Luckily no real injuries have happened, just one or two tiny scratches and a lot of flying fur. Still. Hopefully once Juna is neutered things will settle down...

And now I think I'm done rambling. For now. And I have the munchies. So Imma go find something to eat. OMNOMNOM and all that.

*salute*

HOMG I'M BACK! \o/

Haha, when I sent Z off last week I didn't expect to get him back for at least three weeks, maybe a month. But this morning around 11am a UPS guy showed up on my doorstep with the package from Acer. Cue Happy Sena HERE. I hate not having a computer. This last week was sucky. Though lmao I did get a lot of stuff done while I didn't have the Internet as a distraction. xD;;

Anyway, they replaced the LCD and now the screen is all pretty and bright again. I'm still getting the new laptop though-- the first payment is coming out of my bank account on November 1st. Once it goes through properly then they'll mail Squall off, at which point he'll become my at-home-computer and Z will be my reserve laptop for travel (since he's so small and portable.)

I'm really looking forward to having Squall though, because he's got a better processor and a disc drive, so I can load Microsoft Word onto him and do my own business cards and labels instead of having to go over to Mom's place and use her PC to do them.

Oh, and on the 29th I'm officially paying for a webdomain so I can get all my various sites up and running without having to go through secondary sites like tripod or angeltowns, and I'm hoping to get my shops up on my own domain as well, rather than etsy. Which means I need to find a good shopping cart system, but I can look into that later...

Anyway! Right now I'm working on catching up on the shows I missed this last week-and-a-bit soooo~~

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I'll have a mass Cute Cat Photo post tomorrow; a pic for each day that I couldn't post one because of my lack of Internet access. Look forward to it! ♥

EDIT #2: Maddie and Chloe! Part of my site is going to be a photography portfolio thing, and I wanted to know if you two would mind if I used some of my pics of you guys for it? From the Turk photoshoot in Baltimore, and from the Yakuza shoot this last summer. Let me know, k?

Okage~

My GST came in today, so I spent a while downtown picking up odds-and-ends that I needed.

I got frames so I could hang the Zelda prints I got at Otakon, then when I got home I set about doing just that... and dropped the Midna one, so the glass broke. I had to clean it up and then go back downtown to get another frame to replace it. ~_~;; At least they had the right size at the dollar store, so they each only cost me $5, whereas getting them at Walmart or Zellers or wherever would have been more like $15-$20. =/ Frames are expensive.

Anyway, I also got some reptile bark for cleaning Aya's terrarium. And a couple odds-and-ends for P.O.S.es (just one more thing I want to pick up and then I can start boxing everything.) And I got a few more things for Maddie and Chloe's Christmas/Yule present, so now I'm almost done that. Then it can be boxed up too and mailed so it'll get there, yanno, by Christmas. xD;;

Oh! And today Air Canada finally called about the rebate ticket I mailed in way the hell back in July! ...turns out I forgot to put in the ticket info when I mailed it, which was why it took so long. So they got all the info from me over the phone (thank God for me writing everything down on the calendar!) and are going to set about processing it, so the money should go onto my credit card in two or three weeks. WHOO!!

Hm. A few days ago I downloaded a short anime series called Dai Mahou Touge ("Magical Witch Punie-chan") and it was... um, in a word? CRACK. It was really amusing, violent as hell and perfectly cheerful about it. Haha, I might look into getting it on DVD at some point.

And right now I'm working on downloading Angel Beats! because it sounds interesting and I'm an absolute sucker for the kind of art style it's done in. :D I'll let you know how it is once I've watched some of it~

...

...and now I should really stop procrastinating and clean the bunny and rattie cages out, since it's garbage night. >___>

Busy, Busy

Went downtown today because I needed to mail a couple of things. My letter to Sui-chan and a little package of misc stuff for Maddie and Chloe. Stupid thing was heavy so it cost me like $19.50. BAH. Stupid mailing rates. =/

Anyway, I also stopped at the dollar store as usual, where I bought a couple things for packages and a coke for myself and then promptly forgot said coke at the counter and didn't realize until I got home. *FACEPALM* Oh well. And I had to get some rats for Aya and some crickets for Sally and Tula. Yep yep.

And then I spent the rest of the afternoon working on jam and jelly order forms for House of Yum, since it's that time of year again. I needed to make updated ones anyway, but around now I always have orders come in for around Christmas time. Tomorrow I need to do the cookie/baked goods order sheet...

And now I'm watching Bones! :D
senashenta: (For Now A Sandwich)
I got two little packages in the mail today. One was an order of charms from Artbeads (yay!) and the other one was my pearl bracelet and earrings that I forgot at Maddie and Chloe's place when I came home from vacation. Yeah, I fail. But I'm happy now and I'm totally going to wear them tomorrow when I go out shopping. They're so pretty! X3

Other than that, I have a pull-out couch down in the driveway right now, covered with a tarp and waiting for me to find someone to haul it up to my place and drag my current couch down. Then I need someone to help me take the futon apart so I can take it to Goodwill or whatever. This plan will make room for more shelves/storage space, which I am in desperate need of. I'm going to end up rearranging my whole living area and part of the back room as well lol. We'll see how it goes.

So. The other day my fingernail finally came off. Now my finger looks horrible but doesn't hurt beyond the broken-bone pain, which is familiar and totally manageable. Thank the Gods, I was really tired of the pain. Plus now I don't have to have my finger bandaged up and immobile all the time, so WHOO. \o/

Aaaaaand I still have Orangey. I think I'm going to just keep him. The neighbours keep saying I can have him and then changing their minds, but I don't care anymore. He'll be an indoor cat here anyway, so it doesn't matter. I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow, along with Tia, for flea treatment and de-worming, and I'm picking up more flea drops for the other cats while I'm at it. I'm also going to treat the whole apartment again. I WILL WIN AGAINST THE FLEAS, DAMMIT. >/
senashenta: (Procrastinators Unite)
Ugh, I feel like such a zombie lately. My brain just isn't working right. It rather sucks actually. But anyway, I've procrastinated over updating my journal for long enough, I figure I should maybe actually, yanno, do it. Numbers to help me keep my thoughts organized, though everything's not really in any particular order. ♥

1) The cats have fleas. UGH. I have literally never had a flea outbreak in my house (despite the number of critters) and I'm seriously not pleased with it. In fact, it fucking sucks. The only saving grace is that they haven't gotten to the rabbits. Yet. I've tried practically everything to get rid of them, too; I flea bathed them all, gave them over-the-counter flea drops, gave them Vet prescription flea drops (which cost a fortune, btw), and then tried a flea spray (I treated the entire apartment as well.) Finally, in a last-ditch effort it was recommended that I shave them all down and do the flea spray again when they were nekkid, as there was a possibility that the spray wasn't getting all the way through their fur.

So! I went out and purchased an electric shaver (technically marketed for dogs, but whatever) for freaking $50 +tax. I figure at least I can use it on them every year in the spring to lessen the shedding epidemic when it starts getting warm. I can also use it on Pagan, since he's my only long-haired bun and tends to get mats on his underside at random intervals for no apparent reason and no matter how often I brush/groom him. Anyway.

I know my cats, and I knew that Loki was going to be the hardest one to do since he's such a nervous kitty. I decided to do him first to get him out of the way, and also because I figured that if I did him later he would find somewhere to hide as soon as he knew what was happening. What I didn't figure on was my lovely, cuddly, affectionate Loki-boy going ABSOLUTELY FUCKING POSTAL. .__.;

Mom and my brother were helping to hold him, and as soon as I turned the clippers on he WENT INTO A TERROR-INDUCED HOMICIDAL FREAK OUT. I knew he was going to be nervous and a little scared just like he is with anything new, but WHAT. THE. FUCK. It was like trying to hold down a MOUNTAIN LION, right down to the insane amount of personal injury; Mom got bitten a half dozen times on her hands, my brother got seriously MAULED from the elbow down on BOTH arms, and my left leg was mauled and he bit right through the nail on my right hand, completely severing it. Then this past Monday I went to the doctor's and Dr. K had a look and is pretty sure not only did he fuck my nail up but the crushing injury was so severe that he managed to actually break the tip of my finger bone off. So of course, my hand is taking IONS to heal and still hurts like a fucking bitch nearly two weeks later. ~__~;; Sooo...

All three of us trouped to the hospital when it happened and got antibiotics and Mom and my bro got tetanus shots since theirs weren't up to date. Fun times with the family, huh? So that was the adventure with trying to shave Loki, who is still not shaved and who will never be, short of drugging him into a coma beforehand. Haha. Neko, Juna and Tri are all 3/4 naked now, though, and with them the worst that happened was that Tri puffed his tail at me while I was doing it. Now I just need Mom to help me treat them with the spray again. Cross your fingers for me that it, you know, works this time. Because if it doesn't I'm out of options short of building little cabins and inviting the fleas to move in for life.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR THINGS I HAVEN'T TRIED YET, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Haha, and then the hospital reported the "attack" (by law they have to) so the Health Unit called to talk with me and put Loki on quarantine for ten days just in case. This of course made me lol because whatever, he's a house cat anyway. XD He's officially off quarantine now though.

Loki and I have since made up, of course. :)

Moving on!

2) Today I got some catnip for the pride and sprinkled it down on the carpet in the living room. This is something I do on a regular basis, but it was particularly amusing this time because it's the first time Tia has been exposed to it. OMFG she was hilarious! I giggled at her for like half an hour while she zoomed around and rolled in it and licked the carpet and was generally all =OwO= It was really adorable. ♥

3) Aya finally shed! I'd had him for two months and nothing, even though the pet store peeps said all the rest of the ball pythons from his clutch did the week I got him. When I got home from the US he still hadn't shed and I was starting to get a little concerned. But then last week his pattern started to fade and his eyes clouded over. YAY. A few days later I peeked in the terrarium and the old skin was balled up in the corner by his hidey rock. ^^ I was hoping it would be straight so I could take a pic, but oh well. And he had been really lethargic since two weeks before I left for my vacation, but now he's all energetic again. Or at least as energetic as a snake can be. ^_~

4) Due to massive injuries and seriously excessive pain, I've spent the last two weeks unable to do pretty much any cleaning around here aside from sweeping a bit. I normally sweep/vacuum/mop/dust every couple of days, and not being able to do it was driving me nuts; the floor and carpets were a disaster, dishes (which I also do every couple of days) were piling up... last week I couldn't even clean out the rabbit/rat cages, which I HATED because it meant my poor babies had icky living conditions for a whole week.

Luckily, the last couple of days the pain has subsided a bit; not much, but enough that I could vacuum the place and do a few dishes (not all of them because my finger started throbbing again halfway through) and tonight I managed to finagal my way through cleaning all the cages out. YAYZ! Now I don't feel guilty and like a terrible Mom anymore. Whew.

Also got my bathroom tidied and reorganized, which it's needed for ages.

5) Today I took a wander downtown. It was nice out, just a little cool so I got to wear my (faux) leather jacket, which fits me again whoo! I went to the dollar store for a gift bag for a Christmas gift that I've already got 90% finished and a new shower curtain (I have to replace it every couple months because the cats like to play with them and trash them in the process), then went to Salon Salon and got my eyebrows waxed because they really really needed it. I also picked up the bulk order of eyepins I ordered from Magpie Beads like two months ago.

Speaking of which... MAGPIE BEADS IS CLOSING!! DDD8 They're moving to Barrie! They're the only bead store in town and they're leaving meeeeee! *WEEPS*

Right. So after that I had to go across town to pick up some prescriptions, and while I was around there I went into the Dollarama; got some odds and ends, mostly for other people lol. Then I went to Blockbuster to look at previously viewed movies... and they were having a huge sale on them. I got eleven movies for just over forty bucks! ASDGH! I may have had a little mental flail. XD

I picked up Terminator: Salvation, Battle for Terra, Drag Me to Hell, Zombieland, The Rundown (my Rock movie collection is ever expanding! X3), The Patriot, The Alphabet Killer, Swarmed, The Black Hole, Dragonball Evolution (out of morbid curiosity; and it only cost me $3) and Ghost Machine, which I'm watching right now. ♥

And the sale is on until Oct 3rd, so Imma go back for a few more when I get my money at the end of the month. I'm gonna try to sell some stuff in the meantime to make up for it. Hehehehe new movies make me happy. :3

6) Other than picking up some DVDs, I've seem some newer movies lately too. I'm partway through Predators, which is turning out to be fun. I won't have a concrete opinion on it until I've watched it all though. Wish I could find a better copy online... maybe I'll just wait until it comes out on DVD and pick it up to finish watching it.

Piranha 3D; I didn't watch it in 3D, obviously, but... OMFG. It was AWESOME. >3!! Prehistoric piranha + spring break = fucking fun times! I was a little surprised how gory it was, actually. Not that it bothered me since I'm already so desensitized to cinema violence, but about halfway through it just suddenly struck me that there was A LOT of gore. Go figure.

Resident Evil: Afterlife; EEEEE NEW RESIDENT EVIL MOVIE!!

The Last Exorcism; This one started out really slowly, and I almost gave up on it. It did get really interesting about halfway through, though, and was quite good from then on. The only thing I disliked was that it was filmed like a documentary (like The Blair Witch Project or Cloverfield), and I'm not overly fond of that way of filming. But it was good for what it was.

I just saw a preview for this movie, too, and it looks amazing and creepy and I really want to see it:

7) I have packages for the following peeps, which I swear I'll be mailing out soon. No really. Steph & Reppy, Lome, Kiin-bb, Maddie & Chloe and Mari. ♥

[livejournal.com profile] kierseth, [livejournal.com profile] etcetera_cat and [livejournal.com profile] cat_mcdougall. HEY YOU GUYS. We haven't done a proper P.O.S. exchange in forever! Want to organize one again? ^_^

8) Dad is coming up later this week to stop in for a visit. He's picking up his and Lois' souvenirs and the movies I borrowed from him last time I was down back in May. He's also bringing me a bunch more b-grade movies to replace them, which makes me happy because, I mean, B-GRADE MOVIES WUT. xD

I'm thinking about asking if I can go back with him to visit for a couple of days. I told him I'd help him go through the rest of Aunt Cheryl's stuff in the barn, and I want to get that done before it gets too cold out. Plus I'd just like to visit with him and Lois and the dogs a bit. I don't get to do that often enough. =/

9) I had an appointment in Toronto with the dietitian a couple weeks back. I have to go every 3-4 months for a checkup and bloodwork. I'm told my weight loss is going very well and I'm perfectly on track for where I should be (I've lost 80lbs since Feb 26th), so probably by February I'll be down to about my target weight of 130-140lbs. The only thing is that they're concerned I'm not getting enough protein in my diet, so I'm supposed to try having more in the way of cheese/eggs/etc. *shrug*

Anyhoo, the dietitian called today and left a message regarding the results of my bloodwork; my iron is low, so she wants me to go on iron supplements daily (I normally only take them when I'm on my period) and my vitamin C was really low which makes no sense considering the amount of vitamin C rich fruits and drinks I eat but she wants me to take vitamin C pills too. She also noted that my white blood cell count was high, but at the time they took the blood I was just getting over a bad cold so that doesn't surprise me.

10) Yesterday I took my camera and did a video tour of my apartment to post on FB for people, since I apparently fail at posting pics despite peeps on my f-list there and here asking for them. >>; But then I got carried away and it ended up way too long, so when I tried to upload it it didn't work. *facepalm* Guess I'm doing another one tomorrow. A shorter one. lol.

11) Been rewatching House on DVD; the first five seasons. I just finished yesterday. The season 4 finale made me bawl like a baby. AGAIN. ~_~;

12) Back when I was down in Dayton I was supposed to paint with Chloe, but somehow we just never got around to it. But when I got back home I still kind of had the itch to do it, so I picked up a couple of medium-sized canvasses. My first painting is maybe a third done now. Haha, I haven't painted in forever, and this is my very first painting actually on canvas! I'm really enjoying it (even though my injured hand is making things difficult) and I plan to do a few more.

Funnily enough, the first painting started off as kind of an abstract idea but has given birth to a new character/species. He doesn't have a name yet, but I think he might fit into the same world as Terra/Ilo/Celine/Aysel. I really like his design, so I plan to do more sketches of him, and maybe another larger and more detailed painting.

I'm considering doing painting for people for Christmas this year, too. Would anyone like a Sena!painting? 83

13) Mom and Lee are on vacation right now. They're coming back tomorrow; they just spent a few days off in an out of the way cabin-type place where they could both relax and everything. They really needed it, they've both been totally fried out between one thing and another. Hopefully a few days away will have helped.

In any case, I called yesterday to invite my brother over here for dinner but he had friends over. So instead we decided that I'm going over there tomorrow to visit and make supper for him and Mom and Lee when they get home. ♥

14) I NEED MONIES. $__$ Does anyone out there want a pony or jewelry commission or something? :3
senashenta: (DEAN APPROVES)
OTAKON. WAS FUCKING AWESOME THIS YEAR!

Okay, but I'll back up to stupid Air Canada first. Mom picked me up on the Wednesday to drive me to the airport and all was well. We got there in good time and went to check my baggage (I had to pay for my second suitcase this year since they changed the baggage allowance back in Dec)... only to be told that my flight had been canceled. And oh, they didn't even bother to call me to tell me. UGH. So they put me on a later flight and I had to bum around the airport for three hours while I waited. Whatever.

Once I actually got on the plane the flight was relatively uneventful, with the exception of one really obnoxious passenger that was being a bitch to the flight attendant. The flight attendant put her in her place though, and all the rest of us had to try really hard not to laugh. XD

Anyway, when I got into Baltimore airport I went to get my bags and while I was waiting I texted back and forth between Maddie and Chloe and Pronnie, trying to get things figured out. Turned out Pronnie was sitting like ten feet away from me the whole time. *facepalm* XD! So then it took like 45 minutes for them to finally get the baggage from my plane unloaded, and then while we waited for Maddie and Chloe to get there to pick us up (via light rail), we got lost and wandered and generally were all "derp, we're Canadians!"

So then the light rail to the Days Inn, and we chilled for a few minutes before heading out to get foodz.

We ended up wandering around until we got suckered into a restaurant called Dick's Last Resort. This place was fucking AWESOME. It was very loud, but totally worth the noise. The whole place was just full of random signs and decorations and posters, and the servers were paid to basically insult you (in a joking way, of course) and you could snark right back at them. It was expected.

They put paper hats and bibs on us, and Chloe and I ordered alcohol (hers was better than mine) and at the end of the meal we got to keep the glasses as souvenirs. And the FOOD. The food was AMAZING. I just got an appetizer of Gator Bites (deep fried alligator!) and it was DELICIOUS. Chloe got Crabby Balls (lmao) and Maddie got Mozzarella Sticks, and Pronnie got a full meal of fish and chips. It was all SO GOOD.

Dick's Last Resort has officially taken over Uno's as our sit-down meal for Otakon weekend. ♥♥♥ Sorry Uno's, you're just not as good!

Then we went back to the hotel and crashed, because the next day we had to check out of the Days Inn and move to the Mariott, where we spent the rest of the weekend. But that's another post. Day one down, rest of the vacation to go! :D

You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Please copy the topics below, erase my answers and put yours in their place, and then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration. One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out.

Hokay... entry after a freaking month. Life ate me up and spat me out and I'm still completely stressed out and messed up about a lot of things. Suddenly everything just exploded. I guess when it rains it pours, right? Anyway.

1) Otakon: I'm hoping to still do a more in-depth entry about Otakon, but for now here's the brief version; Air Canada sucks, the hotel we were in has the most gorgeous lobby ever (me and Pronnie did an epic photo shoot there~ ♥), meeting everyone I hadn't met before was AWESOME, and seeing Maddie, Chloe and Michelle again was as well because I MISSED THEM TERRIBLY. IN FACT, I MISS EVERYONE TERRIBLY AGAIN. ;A;

The first day we went to the aquarium, and I gave myself heatstroke. That night we did pre-reg. The next day was the first day of the con itself and I was so sick from the day before that I pretty much didn't do anything but lie around and feel miserable all day, until around 1am when Maddie finally forced me up and dragged me out for foodz. (A good thing, really. Thank you Maddie. ♥) Saturday I did BOYS!Riku cosplay and totally forgot to take pics in it. *facepalm* Sunday was Dealer's Room day and I spent way too fucking much money. YAY ANYWAY.

There was some drama/wank over the course of the weekend, but that's all I have to say on the topic.

Like I said, more detailed post to come, probably tomorrow or the next day. Also I'll post some of my fav photos from the trip then, but for now there are a few in my DevART if anyone is just dying to see them.

2) Dayton: After Otakon was a 12 hour bus ride to Dayton. -.-; At least the bus wasn't crowded, so we all got to stretch out and be (semi) comfy. I stabbed my own foot on the ice pick on my cane though. *facepalm* Slept on the couch at Maddie and Chloe's place every night except one (thank you guys! ILU!) and me and Steph stole their kitchen a couple times to bake and cook. :3 Chloe made us yummy salmon sammiches and okanomiyaki (um, I think that's how it's spelled? XD;;) that was FABULOUS too.

Went to the Dayton Celtic Festival while Steph and Mari were visiting Rei in Detroit, and also to the Dinosaurs Alive! exhibit in Cincinnati with Chloe's Mom, which was so much fun YOU HAVE NO IDEA. I GEEKED OUT SO HARD CORE OVER THE ANIMATRONICS. >w< When Steph and Mari came back we went to Jungle Jim's too, which was awesome. And one day we all went out and did cosplay at the mall (Chloe had to work though D:) where I cosplayed Elena from FFVII, and BOYS!Riku so I could take some pics.

More in-depth on all that in the next post too, I swear.

3) Mom: Okay, after finding out that Mom had cancer I obviously freaked out a lot. Not to mention stressed myself out to the point of having painful stomach cramps and acid reflux so bad I couldn't lay down every night the last three weeks. But Mom went for her MRI a couple weeks ago and when the results came back, it turned out the specialist was right and it's just beginning stage cervical cancer.

So basically, she's having surgery (a radical hysterectomy) and that should cover it. She shouldn't need chemo or radiation therapy or anything afterward. The operation is scheduled for the 15th of next month, and then she needs 6 weeks off to recuperate afterward.

Obviously, I'm still worried and stressed about it. It's a massive operation; they're removing all of her womb, her fallopian tubes and ovaries, some lymph nodes, all of her cervix and a portion of her vagina. I know it's done routinely and it's nothing to really be worrying too much over, but I can't help it. I won't feel any better until the 15th once the operation is over and she's awake and everything's okay.

4) My Surgery: Went for the mandatory class last week. It was three hours long, and seriously, I didn't learn anything I didn't already know. Oh well. I have two more appointments before I can have the operation at the beginning of the new year, one the first week of September, and then one in October at some point. The one in October was originally supposed to be on the 17th of September, but got pushed back because of Mom's surgery on the 15th; hers is WAY more important than mine.

5) Moving: ASDGH I HAVE AN APARTMENT!! X3!! SO EXCITED! It's downtown, and one bedroom (though I'm not using it the typical way) and it has a kitchen and a bathroom and dsnhaguidfh I don't have to share with anyone but my cats and rabbits! X3 GAH, but I only found out less than a week ago and I'm moving in the first week of September so I'm kind of scrambling to send in the paperwork to ODSP and get everything squared away and all my stuff packed. Still. ♥♥♥

Steph and Mari: Still working on packages for you guys, but they've had to be put off a little bit because of the move. Expect them in October some time, probably. ♥
senashenta: (Tail Whip)
Today was awesome and OMG DINOSAURS. At some point when I get home (on Friday) I'll make an actual update and talk about all the stuff from Otakon and Dayton/etc. but for now I don't want to hog Momo too much. And besides that, it's just about 3:30 am and we're getting up tomorrow to go downtown and take Turk photos and pics of me in my BOYS!Riku cosplay.

Right. Dinosaurs in Cincinnati were awesome. And we had Chinese food for dinner and it was awesome too. I crossed frog's legs, kimchi and tiramisu off my life's To Do list as well. That's four foods I've always wanted to try in two days! I'm on a roll! Plus if we go to Jungle Jim's this week Chloe promised to help me find pork buns. X3

Apparently my cats have been little buggers while I've been gone. Mom says Tri has peed on my bed and Loki has decided that litter boxes are for peeing in front of and not inside. She's doing her best but I'll have to straighten them out when I get home. -.-; At least Neko and the rabbits are behaving themselves. Sora too.

Oh, and as a funny side note, one of Maddie's friends asked her yesterday if she and Chloe had had a threesome with me. xD; A couple nights ago I was feeding Maddie ice cream while we were reading stuff on the laptop, and apparently that means we must be sleeping together. XD;;

Ah! And before I forget, the ghost kitty here, Sapphire, likes me! :3 Last year he jingled my suitcases and I saw him for just a split second. This time he jingled something one night, and then tonight I felt a cat jump up onto the bed next to me (those of you who have cats at home know the feeling when a cat hops up beside you) but when I turned to pet it, there was nothing there and Saiga and Kaikei were downstairs. Then later when I was downstairs watching Ghost Hunters with Maddie and Chloe I felt whiskers rub against my leg, but again, Saiga and Kaikei were nowhere near. I'm strangely pleased that Sapphire seems to approve of me. <3
senashenta: (Durr...)
Posting from Momo at Maddie and Chloe's house. I miss my own PC, but I'm glad they'll let me borrow the laptop to check my email and everything. I'm writing this now because they've gone to bed so I don't feel so bad about stealing their computer lol. ^^;

Anyway, everything is pretty much going fine, and I'm having tons of fun. My one leg is royally fucked up though, and I really need to see a doctor when I get back to Canada; it feels like I've got something tearing in my calf, a muscle or tendon, and it hurts like hell. But it's holding up well enough that I don't have to go to the hospital here, which is a good thing considering I don't have travel insurance. >>; Chloe says is it comes down to it I could go to an urgent care clinic though, so I'm keeping that in mind just in case.

Short post because it's 5am and I need to get to bed, but I'll have a huge long Otakon post when I get back to Canada in a week (complete with tons of misc pics, including from the massive yakuza!Kadaj and Asch photo shoot that me, Pronnie and Maddie did on Saturday night.) Until then, this is it.

Oh, and sorry to anyone I was supposed to be texting while I've been here. Turns out that when Virgin told me my plan "covered everything", they actually meant "covered everything in Canada", and here it's completely useless. My fucking cell is a PAPERWEIGHT here. I can't even call 911 on it. When I get back home I'm going to call Virgin to bitch about it and get my plan changed so that next time I won't be stuck without a phone. -.-;

Tomorrow we're going to a Celtic festival! 8D

Srsly, AN post soon. Really.

Misc Things

Mar. 4th, 2009 05:21 pm
senashenta: (Boredom Kills)
I slept through most of yesterday. I've been really sick for two months now, and it's just really taken a lot out of me. I'm getting more and more exhausted every day. But I guess I shouldn't complain too much. There are other people going through worse right now and some of them have to put up with the stupid US health care system on top of everything.

Anyway, I woke up early this morning and watched a couple of movies; Walled In and House. They were alright. I actually enjoyed the first one quite a bit. The second one was confusing. I think it might have made more sense if I had read the book, it seemed like they might have left some things out or something. Or I just blinked at the wrong time. *shrug*

Today I've also written my letter to Jose. I have some things to send to him along with the letter, so I need to go out and get a 6"x9" padded envelope (that's the biggest you're allowed to send through World Vision). I'm sending some pencil crayons and a sketch pad, as well as some candies, and some photos of the snow here.

All of my ear piercings are trying to get infected again. They're all sore and a little puffy. So I had to take most of my earrings out to let them settle down. I'll put them back in again in a week or so. *shrug*

I pulled out my cosplay stuff last night to dig through it; I have eleven wigs. XD; Two of them are previous Demyx wigs though, which I will probably be getting rid of at some point. I still need to fix the bangs on my Haine wig before AN, but I still have three months so I'm not in a hurry. I've got everything I need for AN purchased now, with the exception of some hair cement, black spray paint, and my Org13 coat. I may also need new shoes for my Haine cosplay, but I won't know until the outfit gets here so I can see what it looks like with the ones I already have.

I went through the jewelry, keychains and phone straps that I've done so far and priced them, then added up the totals, and I assuming I was to sell every piece, I have $709 worth finished. XD; And of all of that, there are only eight pieces that are more than $5.

I guess now I should probably get back to working on ponies. >.>;

When I go to Otakon this summer, there's a chance I'll be going back to Dayton again (for more than two days this time!) It's going to depend on how much I can sell at AN, since it'll be extra for the ticket from Baltimore to there, obviously. I really want to go, but I have to wait and see until I know for sure if I can or not. *fingers crossed*
senashenta: (Even Darkness Must Pass)
Been a while since I posted. Haha, I spent so many years writing in this thing every single day that lately when I haven't been writing in it much it seems weird. I go to post and realize it's been ten days (or whatever) since my last post and am surprised by it.

But recently I haven't been up to much... I'm actually quite sick right now (it's really TMI though, so I'm not going to elaborate.) I spent all last week trying to get through to my family doctor and failing, so I think I'm going to have to just break down and go to the Emergency Room, and probably have to endure at least one rather uncomfortable test that I can think of.

In the mean time, I was on hiatus at RY and TV, but my health always sucks and I can't be on hiatus forever, so I came off at RY yesterday and plan to come off at TV tomorrow. Being so sick the last while has really sapped my energy though; I'm not getting any nutrients or anything from my food right now (when I can even eat), and I've probably been taking too many pain pills. I've practically been living on cream-of-wheat because it's so bland and easy to digest. I still don't really feel up to much rping, but it's not fair to camp on characters if I'm just going to be away all the time. Plus I have to get back into helping with mod stuff at RY.

Anyway. Today I gave Sora and Riku a bath for the first time. They flailed around a little and generally went D8 at me. It was adorable. But they did need a bath. And I'm hoping if I do it often enough they'll learn to like playing in the water, or at least to tolerate it. They really liked being wrapped up together in a towel afterward though. ♥

I finished Foundation yesterday. It's the new Heralds of Valdemar book by Mercedes Lackey. I didn't realize how much I'd missed Valdemar until I started reading it (lol two days ago, I read for like 12 hours straight. XD;) Maybe now I can try writing some fic again? It'd be nice to work through my four-years-and-going writer's block. But I'm not holding my breath. Not being able to concentrate to write and draw is part of being bi-polar, and just reading a new Valdemar novel won't magically cure me of that. I wish though!

Today I found a copy of Razorback in region 1 NTSC format on ebay. Dad and I have both been searching for that movie for months now, and all we can find are copies on ebay that are region 2 PAL, which won't play on North American DVD players or TVs. So I'm hoping the seller will ship to Canada, but if he replies to my question about it and says no, Maddie says I can get it shipped to her/Chloe's place and then send them the money to forward it. >D

And now random pictures just for the hell of it:

Loki and Tri have a night of drinking, apparently. )

Nazoko. Still looking like Bella. I need the right wig and eyes for her, desperately. )

EDIT: It's getting pretty close to the day I'm taking Loki in to get his back claws done. The closer it gets to time, the more bad I feel about it, even though it's for a medical reason. Every time he comes and cuddles with me, or purrs at me I feel guilty. DX
senashenta: (Kadaj)
Yeah so today I finally got most of my stuff put away. XD;; Now I just need to put away my laundry that's been sitting around since Monday. I've not done much the last few days. >>; BUT. I think after five days, I'm finally mostly caught up on sleep. Whoo. Still tired, but I'm always tired, so that's typical. Now I'm not dead exhausted though.

Last night there was skype chat with Maddie, Chloe, Michelle and Mel. I MISSED THEM. ;~; *wibble* That was the first time I'd really used my skype since downloading it (and making a test call to Dad like three months ago), and I am in love with it. There are so many people I want to call now.

Plus, I was looking through the subscriptions for it (right now I have a free account, which costs nothing skype-to-skype) and for $2.95 a month I can have unlimited calls to regular phones and cells in the US and Canada, and a phone number to my skype that people can dial to call me if they want to call from a regular/cell line. I can't remember if that includes voicemail or not. But voicemail or no, I'm seriously considering it.

90% of the time when people try to call me here, they can't get through because Sarah is on the phone. People leave messages, which I usually don't get because she erases them and then forgets to pass them on. ><; We got call display/waiting so that when people called and she was on the phone I could still get my calls... but she never picks up if she's on the phone WHICH WAS THE DAMN POINT. ARGH.

Anyway, so I'm thinking about it. I'll probably do it at some point. Possibly in a couple weeks when I have money again. >.>;

Oh, Maddie, photos of the shiny you sent home with me for you. ♥ )

EDIT: Oh, also, on Monday I had an appointment with my doctor, and while I was there she pounced on me with bandaids and prescription strength polysporin for my knee, and I got in trouble for not having it bandaged in the first place. XD;;

The cream she gave me works MIRACLES though. o__o;; After two days it was almost completely healed, and now there isn't even any scab left, just a huge bruise and tons of scarring that I assume will take forever to heal, just like every mark I have. :P
senashenta: (Oh Noes! Spoilers!)
The only thing in this that's going to be behind a cut is photos (if I have the gumption to post them tonight), so to avoid endless rambling about Otakon if you're not interested, please feel free to scroll down. And down. And down some more. :D

Okay, so!

Monday, the 4th: I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to make sure I had everything packed and organized. Eventually, I got frustrated with trying to fit everything in my suitcases, and ended up having Mom come over and do it for me, as she is the QUEEN of packing. ♥ Also, Monday I baked hermit cookies and coconut-oatmeal-chocolate-chip cookies to bring with me. Sticking Tetsuya in my hiking backpack was kind of hilarious, as he kept giving me dirty looks the entire time. XD; That night I also hauled my two suitcases down to the main landing, so I wouldn't have to carry them both (they weighed like 50lbs each xD;;) all the way down the next day.

Tuesday, the 5th: I got up early to finish the last minute cleaning and whatnot I needed to do before my bus at 11:40am. Then I said goodbye to my baby kitties and bunnies (and Axel, of course) and told them to behave while I was gone. I was somewhat dubious that would work, but hey, it was worth a try. XD;; Then Mom picked me up around 10:30am and we went to the bus station, where I paid for my extra bag; my backpack went onto the bus with me (since it had Tetsuya, and all my electronics in it, as well as some clothes just in case), but I had two suitcases to go underneath the bus. Aparently, you used to be able to take two for underneath no problem, but at the beginning of August they changed it to be just one. :P So I paid an extra $30 to get my second suitcase from here to Baltimore.

Now, the trip to Baltimore was... eventful, and at the same time not. There was a lot of boring sitting around doing nothing (especially after my mp3 player ran out of charge, and after dark when I couldn't read) usually. BUT. When we got to the US border and I went though Customs, they asked "what my business in the United States was" and I told the guy I was going to a convention. He got this super suspicious look and went "what kind of convention?" Seriously, a voice in the back of my head was going "A TERRORIST CONVENTION! >D" but I figured if I said that they'd send me to prison or something, so instead I told him an anime convention. And he got really pissed off about it. XD; It was actually rather hilarious. Then they searched my bag. You know, just in case all us otaku were planning to bomb something. xDD;;

Anyway! Once we got through Customs, we continued on to Buffalo, where our current driver was supposed to get off, and a new one get on. So we got there, and the driver left... and no one else showed up. FOR TWO HOURS. They didn't even come out and tell us what was going on. FINALLY, two hours later someone came out and said they were getting another driver because the one that was supposed to be there just didn't show up. So we waited ANOTHER hour until a new driver got there. Only she wasn't a driver. Like, she had NEVER DRIVEN A GREYHOUND BUS BEFORE. UGH. She was super nice though, and didn't get us killed, so it all worked out.

Now, after Buffalo I was supposed to have a three hour layover in New York, but since we were running three hours LATE, I arrived there just in time to grab my stuff and run across the terminal to hop onto my next bus. I'm so glad I had that layover! If I hadn't, I'd have been stuck there for another three hours until the next bus to Baltimore. D:

Wednesday the 6th: Boring as the rest of the trip had been though, the bus from Buffalo to NY was actually awesome; I got on and sat down, and about two seconds later this girl across the aisle from me leaned over and went "hey... are you on your way to Otakon?" So which I said ".__. Yes?" XD; She had seen my KH and Furuba keychains lawl. SO I scooted over so I was sitting on the aisle and she did the same, and we fangirled and chatted for the next like... four and a half hours. XD;

There were jokes about Marlyland. Especially when we crossed into it, and the Welcome sign had big flamboyant flowers on it. ♥♥♥

Z~ I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN YOUR EMAIL! I TRIED TO LOOK FOR YOU AT ARTIST ALLEY BUT COULDN'T FIND YOU! DDDD: IF BY SOME MIRACLE YOU SEE THIS, COMMENT OR MESSAGE ME OR SOMETHING!

Right, so we got to the first bus terminal in Baltimore around noon, and Z and I both hopped off and got KFC for lunch because we were starving. But we took it back to the bus to eat because we were paranoid about them leaving without us. lol. Then it was around 12:45pm when we finally arrived at the downtown terminal, where Z and I were both getting off. I waited with her for ten minutes or so until her friends came to pick her up, then went outside and found a cab to take to the Sheraton.

CABS IN BALTIMORE ARE DIRT CHEAP HOMG. O___O;; Why can't cabs here cost that much? ;w;

Wow, I'm easily distracted lol. Moving on! I got to the Sheraton and checked to see if Maddie and Chloe had arrived/checked in yet, and they hadn't. So I checked my bags and sat down in the comfy comfy chair by the computer in the lobby to wait for them. About half an hour later they arrived, and there was much hugging and bitching about various modes of transportation. Then we checked in and went up to the room to crash and wait for Mel and Michelle. ♥

The rest of the day was pretty much organizing things and chatting, and deciding sleeping arrangements (Maddie/Chloe/Reno/Link/Rufus/etc. in one bed, Mel/Michelle/Kanda/Eiji/Naoji/Irvine/etc. in the other, me under the desk (NO I'm not kidding XD;;) with Kadaj/Kurai/Luke, Hikaru and Kaoru in the closet, Shuichi/Chrono/Mahiru in the bathtub, and a lot of others that I'm sure I'm forgetting. Sephiroth slept standing up when he wasn't busy with prostitutes. xDD;;) We also went out to a mall and got dinner, then a t-shirt for Michelle. I had to resist the urge to play in the fountains there, Demyx muse thought that would be FUN. :D

Thursday, the 7th: We all slept until noon out of sheer travel exhaustion. Then we had donuts for breakfast, and got into Cosplay to go and pick up our con badges. Michelle and I were RY-highschool!Kadaj and Luke, Maddie was casual!Rufus, Chloe was Reno, and Mel was turk!Kanda. The story was that Rufus was babysitting Luke and Kadaj and Reno and Kanda were along as his bodyguards. Kadaj was NOT AMUSED to have a babysitter. >.>;

After we got our badges we all split up (I believe Maddie wasn't feeling well, so she and Chloe went back to the hotel ahead of us, and Michelle went to dinner with Alicia), and on the way back to the hotel, Mel and I got caught in a random torrential downpour. XD;; So we were soaked and pathetic looking by the time we got back. I'm glad I was wearing a tank top underneath my school uniform shirt. .__.;

Later on after we were changed and dry, we went out for dinner, and on the way was when we stopped to play at the fountain by the harbor and I did my EPIC FACEPLANT. YAY my first injury of the vacation! =D;;

No big deal though. ♥ After I got myself picked up, we headed off to the harbor front center and got dinner. I can't remember the name of the restaurant, but the service SUCKED. Good thing the food was AWESOME or I'd've been pretty pissed. Seriously though, I got the BEST FREAKING SAMMICH IN THE WORLD there. *drool*

Michelle met us at the restaurant, and after that it was back to the hotel for sleep, but not before making our first voice post to the RY OOC comm and coloring our RY shirts. ♥♥ That was awesome fun, especially after a while since the markers were permanent and we didn't have a window open.

THERE WILL BE SEPHIROTH COOKIE JOKES FOREVER. XDD

Friday the 8th: First day of the con! ...we all slept in and missed our morning panels. XD;; D'OH. But we were all exhausted, so it wasn't really a surprise. >>;

When we finally did get up, we all got into our cosplay for the day and headed off; Mel and I were running late trying to get my skirt done, and finally I just pinned it and wore it like that. We went and wandered around the convention center a bit; took some pics. I found an awesome Zelos, and should have taken a pic with her, instead of just of her, since I was in my Kyo outfit. Boo, boo, I faaaaail.

Eventually we found the dealer's room, and wandered around there for about half an hour. I got my brother a cute stuffed dragon for his dragon collection (I almost kept it. >.>;;) Then it was off again to the D.Gray photoshoot, where there was INSANITY. It was fun though, I'd never actually gone to a photoshoot at a con before. It was utter CRACK, but so awesome. :3

Then after the photoshoot ended, we all sat down together to read porn. XD;;

After the porn, Mel went off with some of the D.Gray people, and Michelle, Maddie and I went to look for Chloe. We were supposed to go see the Lolita fashion show, but we couldn't get in, so instead we went back to the dealer's room. I got some manga (Loveless, Furuba, Tsubasa), and there was a booth selling bondage gear, so I got a leather collar with a bell on it for my Kyo costume. xD; Kekeke.

That night I went with Maddie and Michelle (and Chloe? You were there, weren't you?) to the yaoi panel in Kadaj-in-a-dress cosplay just for the hell of it. ^.^; My muses haet me so much now.

Saturday the 9th: I was supposed to go to a D.Gray photoshoot with Mel that morning, but... I slept through it. Bah. So when I got up I waited until everyone was gone (since there weren't really any panels I wanted to go to) and then tidied a bit. Seriously, our freaking hotel room looked like a tornado had gone through it, and I was starting to have OCD twitches at the mess. >.<;

Then after a while, Maddie and Chloe came back (with foodz!) and we ate there. While we were eating, Mel showed up with Lavi (whose name I don't remember); they weren't there long, but they were there long enough for us to get Lavi/Reno photos. lmao. ♥

When we were done eating I got into my Haruhi outfit (contacts and all), and we went to this comedy thing at the con... Japanese comedic storytelling, which has an actual name but I can't think of it right now. -.-; But it was very funny and I enjoyed it immensely. Haha. After that, Maddie, Chloe and I went to the Mason building to take EPIC Turk photos. Seriously. When I say epic, I mean EPIC. >w<~ We also took a few pics of Haruhi!me as well, but I like the Turk ones better. :3

After the photos we actually found an open pharmacy for me to get bandages for my knees. HUZZAH. We also got more donuts for breakfast the next day. Later I dressed up as casual!Allen using my Kadaj wig and was supposed to go to the D.Gray shoot that night (there were like ten of them lol), but we were running late so Michelle and I had to skip it and go straight to the old school yaoi panel we wanted to attend.

Sunday the 10th: ...was mostly packing, organizing, and then going to the dealer's room, where I bought even more stuff. >>; I got a bunch of buttons, an adorable plush bunny-thing, and Sephiroth, Kadaj and Roxas figures. It was a tossup between Roxas and Axel, really. Axel next time I have some cash! ♥

EDIT: Oh yes, before the dealer's room we went to the D.Gray panel, and then took photos outside that room. Then was also when we got out the leftover cookies to give out. Chloe was adorable handing them out. Eventually we just started yelling "FREE COOKIES!" and we went through TWO AND A HALF CONTAINERS of them in like two minutes after that. XD; But that's good because I really didn't want to have to haul them home. ♥ Haha.

After the dealer's room, the con was pretty much closed, so we went for lunch, then back to the hotel to get our things. Mel, Maddie and I took everything in a cab with us to the new hotel (CHEAP CAB WAS CHEAP) while Chloe accompanied Michelle to her place to drop some stuff off and get her car.

We got to the new hotel and I promptly fell asleep. .__.;; On their way to there, Michelle and Chloe picked up snacks and cup noodles for us, and that night we pretty much just chilled and watched movies; first, Sensitive Pornograph (which the DVD player there didn't like D:), then Brokeback Mountain (WHICH I NEED A COPY OF DAMMIT) and finally Black Sheep. Hehehe zombie sheep ftw. ♥♥

Monday the 11th: WAS AQUARIUM DAY. \o/\o/\o/ Demyx-muse APPROVES OF AQUARIUMS.

We all slept in again (I was under the table in the new room, whereas I was under the desk at the old one lol), then got into cosplay to go to the aquarium at 2pm even though the con was over. Aquarium cosplay is fun. :D

My legs tried to die on the way there, but once we were inside and moving more slowly they decided they didn't hate me too much anymore. That was the best aquarium ever though. ♥ I could have watched the manta ray pool all day, or the sharks, or the dolphins. ^__^ We pretty much stayed until closing, then did a bunch of photos by the fountain (where I fell before), and headed back to the hotel. Mel and I went swimming for a while, then I re-packed everything, bashed my arm in the bathroom, and went to sleep since I had to get up at an ungodly hour the next morning. D:

Tuesday the 12th: Got up at like 5am. UGH. Got showered and dressed, then hauled all my stuff outside so that I wouldn't disturb everyone else. Sat around and waited for my cab. And waited. And waited. It never showed up. Luckily, another cab happened by and I flagged him down to take me to the greyhound station. Whoot.

Cue 13-hour ride to Dayton. When I got to the station the woman at the counter was an utter BITCH to me, to the point I was about to cry because I didn't have enough cash to get my second suitcase on the bus and she wouldn't take my Mom's credit card number WHICH I HAD ON ME FOR JUST SUCH AN EMERGENCY. >__O;; Then after watching me freak out for ten minutes she just looks at me with an annoyed expression and goes "just ask the bus driver, he'll probably let you take it on anyway."

WHAT. FUCK YOU LADY, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT TO BEGIN WITH?!

Whatever. So I spent all of the drive to Dayton with my backpack and a suitcase on the bus with me. It was a pain, but at least I didn't have to leave anything behind. Then when I got to Dayton, Maddie and Chloe weren't there to pick me up. ;~; It wasn't their fault, their plane had been delayed, but I panicked a little until I finally got Michelle's text about it at TEN. wtf phone? Delayed text messaging much?

At least while I was waiting, I taught myself how to use the phone more. Even how to text. Whoo, go me!

They got there to pick me up around 11:20pm, and we went back to their place and chatted/organized/gave pets to kitties before dying some more.

Wednesday the 13th: Chloe had to work. T__T So after sleeping half the day, Maddie and I took Dayton's busses out to Walmart to pick up her last paycheck, and while we were out there we found a bank that would exchange Canadian monies, since I was out of American ones. Yay.

After that we went back to their place and did not much, though I did do some laundry in their haunted basement and was stared at from the corner the whole time. o__o;; I hope I didn't make anything angry.

That night we ordered pizza and these chocolate dipper things that were SO GOOD. =w= We don't have them at the Pizza Hut here, I already checked. >>; We also watched Dog Soldiers, but we only half paid attention to it. *shrug*

...finally at midnight-ish we decided to go to bed, which was awful because I had to get up at 3:30am the next morning to have a bath and get all my stuff together for the bus to Ashtabula. It was even worse because SOMETHING was playing with the zippers on my suitcases while I was trying to sleep, making them jingle. Could have been worse, I suppose.

Thursday the 14th: Got up at 3:30am for a bath, and when I came back down from that, I thought I saw a cat in the corner of the dining room. But I knew Saiga and Kakei were locked away upstairs. I kind of shrugged it off. Then later at the bus stop, I mentioned that something had been jingling the zippers all night and they were like "maybe it was the ghost cat" and I was like "... o__o;; Srsly?"

XDDD;;

Then, bus to Ashtabula! ...I fell off it. >___>;;

When we got to Ashtabula, I was stepping down and tripped, and fell on my face on the pavement. I scraped my knees up again, and this time my right one bled like It'd been cut down to the bone or something. Everyone that had been on the bus rushed to help me up, which was very nice, but I really was alright. ^^;;

That was when Cat McD and her kittens came to get me, and we went back to her place. Jasmine and AJ are so cute! And while I'm generally not fond of children, they were pretty much non-offensive. I got a lot of hugs and stuff. Hehe.

That night after they were in bed, Cat and I watched Black Sheep, and then a really terrible viking movie that I can't remember the title of. XD;; It was SO awesome. I think I need a copy of it. We also started to watch Dog Soldiers, but then we both fell asleep in the middle of it. FAIL~ lawl.

Friday the 15th: Got up early because that's what one does when there are childlings in the house. ♥ Watched Numbers and generally were tired and lazy until it was time for me to catch the bus. Cat and her kids saw me off, and I promised to come back and visit again some time. Possibly next year after Otakon again, depending on finances...

BUS AGAIN. This time to Toronto. lmao, the best thing was when we went through Canadian Customs! When I went through the US Customs they were all "RAWR!" over the anime con thing, but when I went through Canada Customs and said "I was at an anime con" the girl went "AWESOME! :D" XDDD; YAY CANADA CUSTOMS OMG HEHE!

When I got to TO, I took an {expensive} cab to the hotel -cat was staying at, and met up with her. =3 We went for FOOD, which was awesome because I was getting seriously tired/sick of the crap I'd been living off of the previous week and a half. I mean seriously. I got a burger, but it had VEGETABLE MATTER on it, and came with a salad. SO YUMMY AFTER VENDING MACHINE/CONVENIENCE STORE FOOD. \o/

Saturday the 16th: I slept in while -cat went to some con stuff, then around lunch time I finally got up and ready and we went to the World's Biggest Bookstore via the subway. Subways... make me nervous. I mean, I know it's no big deal, but for some reason I'm not super comfy on them. Probably because I've only been on one twice in my life. ^^; Oh well.

The bookstore was awesome as usual. I spent like $130, which was fine since I'd set aside about $150 for the bookstore alone. xD;; I finally got some D.Gray manga. Then I got lots of books, hehe. So happy~ and when we got back to the hotel -cat helped me streak my hair pink, which I LOVE. Then she had a pizza party thing, so I hung around and watched TV, and used her computer a little.

Sunday the 17th: The next morning I slept in again, and said goodbye to -cat since she was off to do more con stuff. I tried to get ahold of Kerry, but my phone didn't like her number. ;~~~; So I missed her! No fair! ...at least she was having fun at her con and everything though. ♥ Sorry Kerry! Next time I promise!

EDIT: This was the day I fell in the shower, too. >>;;

And finally, a bus home to Orillia! SO EXHAUSTED, but it was SO MUCH FUN. ^__^

...and yeeeah. Photos later. >>;; Just typing this took like two hours. Now is time for sleeps.
senashenta: (Twins: My Anti-Drug)
Still in Baltimore. 8D

Mmm, after faceplanting on Thursday, I've been dealing with the aftermath since. >>; My knees are FUCKED. Not just scraped all to hell, but I put one of them out when I fell too. UGH. Still, it's not stopping me from flouncing around the con in various rediculous outfits. :D

Yesterday, I was girl!Kyo. Mel was supposed to help me with the last bits of my skirt but the sewing machine died. ><; So I just pinned it together with safety pins and wore it anyway. XD; Kyo-muse was NOT IMPRESSED with the skirt, or the knee socks, or the boobs. Or the leather bondage collar I got in the dealer's room to wear with the outfit. It had a giant kitty-bell and a place to clip a leash. (Kadaj-muse LOVES that collar SO MUCH OMG.)

Anyway, I went to the dealer's room with Mel for a bit, then to a D.Gray photoshoot, which was AWESOME. She was in v3 Kanda outfit, and we took lots of fun pics, then when the shoot ended we all sat down and had a porn powwow and read a bunch of the doujin that Mel got in the dealer's room. XD;; Haha. Then she went off with some of the D.Gray people and I met up with Maddie and Michelle, and we went to find Chloe. <3

For the rest of the day I was Kyo, who was an animal from Pet Shop Of Horrors since Chloe and Maddie were dressed as D and Leon. KYO WANTS OUT OF THIS PET SHOP. >__O; LOL.

Then today after sleeping through another D.Gray shoot I was supposed to go to, I got into my Host Club uniform and accompanied Maddie (Tseng) and Chloe (Reno) to a comedy thing. It was awesome. After that we went to take Turk pics around the city and I played photographer. We found some great spots that made me wish we'd had a Rude to do photos with too. D: Still, I have TURK PHOTOS OF WIN to share when I get back. Then they took some cute pics of me as Haruhi by some trees and flowers. <3

Let's see. Today I also finally found an open pharmacy to get some bandages for my knees too. It only took two days. >>;; And we got more donuts. lawl we've been eating them for breakfast since Wednesday. xD; *fail*

Other than that, we've been making the occasional voice (or OOC-IC post) to RY to share the experience with everyone else. YOU MUST ALL COME NEXT YEAR DAMMIT, WE'VE ALREADY GOT PLANS FOR YOU. >D OH and then last night Pronnie called to laugh at me for falling on my face. Love you too Pronnie. Can't find my ribbons, so no Kadaj-in-ribbons photos. But I do have Kadaj-in-a-dress photos for you instead. XD;
senashenta: (Don't Make Me Use The HARP)
1) Yes this post is numbered. Just because. :P

2) So... turns out C.A. is in Korea because Nova (the company she went to Japan under) like... crashed and burned. Seriously. It was this huge scandal where they weren't paying the teachers and everything. So she was selling stuff out of the apartment they gave her so she could buy food, and then disappeared for a while and showed back up in South Korea. O___O;

That's as much as I know, and I'm really seriously worried. I need to call her parents and see what's going up, if she's coming home or what. *fretfretfretfret* D:

3) Maddie and Chloe are having problems right now, which seriously sucks. (*fretfretfretmore*) I'm worried about them too... in fact, I'm running a collection box for them at Rizu, because we ♥ ♥ ♥ them and want to help. <3

4) Stupid gmail won't let me into my inbox right now. ><;;

5) I've been picking up odds-and-ends for my cosplay in the summer the last while, including a bunch of earrings for my AU!Demyx. >3< The stars came in today, and two of the ear cuffs came in yesterday. Two of the pairs of hoops arrived last week, but were sadly the wrong ones so I had to send them back. Now I have to wait for them to come in, as well as one more ear cuff and a messenger bag. Yep.

6) While we were out grocery shopping today Mom and I popped into Walmart, and we stumbled upon plastic tubs... CLEAR plastic tubs! :3 YEY. Mom bought me four of them lawl, and I'll probably need more before AN, but that'll give me a good start. Now I can pack some of my finished ponies away and make room for more as I finish them.

I also got a deep fryer because they were on the end of the aisle right by the plastic tubs, and on sale for $22. O__o; I was like *YOINK*. Though the only reason I did was because my GST money came in haha. XD;

7) Okay, so the Otakon trip has become slightly more, which is awesome as far as I'm comcerned since I've never been to the US at all before. X3 I'm going to Dayton, then taking the train to Baltimore with Maddie and Chloe, then one of the days we're going to DC to be tourists there, and on the way home, between Baltimore and here, I'm stopping for a night to bother [livejournal.com profile] cat_mcdougall. X33 And that's just what's been planned so far. Nevermind all the stuff in Baltimore and Washington that we've planned, the aquarium and everything. ^___^

Oh, but [livejournal.com profile] lipstickcat, what days are you going to be in Toronto? Just to make sure, so I can plan for that too. ^^

8) RP STUFF! =D;

Hikaru is basically the same as last time I rambled about him. He and Kaoru are about to have crazy angst since Kao slept with Allen. ^^;

Demyx is all excited because Larxene and Marluxia are in town now, haha. But then he gets excited about everything. Also, he's met C.C. and Link when he went to visit Fate in the hospital, and is happy to have made new friends. He's also planning to go visit Axel sometime soon, since he hasn't seen him around much and Zexy keeps saying he must have died or something. XD;;

Yuki is the same as Hikaru, nothing much going on. I need to get him into something interesting so I can unleash his snark. lol.

Kyo is... oh God, the angst. FFS, he was supposed to be a fun snarky character to play dammit. But no~ he's all love triangle angstangstangst and stuff. Blegh. Though the AIM-verse SephxKyoxZelos is hot and made of awesome. Oh yes.

And finally, I took a 5th character because I fail. Except this time at least it's a GIRL. xD; lawl. We need more girls, seriously. So I took up Shiraishi Mahiru from Mikan no Tsuki ([livejournal.com profile] myluck_yourluck), because she's cute and fun, and has a pet bat named (creatively enough) "Mr. Bat" or "Batty". <3

9) Just called to talk to Dad, but he's working that weird shift again so he's in bed. So I talked to Lois for a couple minutes and asked how she was doing; she says much better, though not having use of her one hand is driving her nuts. I can imagine, lol. She also liked the pony I gave her for Christmas, so yey. :)

10) Tomorrow, Grandma is coming up around lunch time and her, me, Mom and Lee are going out for lunch. She's going to drop off some stuff, and pick up some things that need sewing, and see Mom's new furnature and everything since she hasn't yet and it's been 6 months since the place was painted and they got the new furnature and curtains. Haha.

11) And also, I didn't have a birthday party this year, but Ryuu-chan, Andy and Steve came by to visit, which was awesome. I hadn't talked to any of them in a while, but specifically Andy I hadn't talked to in like two years. He's so hard to get in contact with! ><;

EDIT 12) Random anonymous v-gift ftw! Pony! Thank you anon! ♥

EDIT #2, 13) Dammit Kyo-muse! Stop whining for sex already, jeez! >P

EDIT #3, 14) OMG After Eight dark chocolate mints win at everything. ;3; They're so good, and were on sale so I got a couple boxes of them. Now I'm all high on sugar. FWEE. 8D

EDIT #4, 15) Kyo-muse doesn't have me writing Kyo/Seph/Zelos smut, I swear. >.> *innocent whistle*
