Weddings, Bean Trees and Kapalas
Apr. 23rd, 2011 12:35 amWow, yeah, I haven't posted for real in forever. I definitely need to get back into posting. Gonna try for at least a small entry here every day. HEre's hoping. xD;;
Anyway!
My magic bean plant loves it in this room. It's grown over a foot since I got here, and tonight I had to actually straighten a clothes hanger to use as a post because it's getting so tall it isn't standing straight anymore. XD So I used the hanger and tied the plant to it, then decorated it with some silver chain and white beads. ♥
I've been working on setting up my writing blog again, since GJ crashed and burned a while back. Thus I give you
vanimadin. I loooove the layout so much. Please go friend me, especially if you have writing blogs of you own. I love sharing creative stuff like that~
Oh, and I'm also working on my RP Musebox as well,
vilyaore. I'm in the process of switching it to a community and everything, so it'll be a couple weeks before it's all done, but I'm getting there. I've been meaning to set up a musebox for a long time now, I've just been way too busy with moving and cats and the wedding and everything. ~.~;
BUT. THE WEDDING.
Went off without a hitch, pretty much. ^_^ I was so glad to get the jewelry done though, lol. The jewelry for the two bridesmaids and the flower girl was simple enough to make, but Sarah's jewelry was A PAIN. I had to make her necklace, rip it apart, and remake it THREE TIMES over the course of two months. It was the bane of my existence.
At the same time? I'm SO proud of it. It turned out awesome. X3
But it was a lovely, simple wedding, and I enjoyed it for the most part. I got to see some family that I hadn't seen in a long time, plus meet my other sister's girlfriend (she is SUPER nice and very pretty!) and my eldest brother's girlfriend (also SUPER nice and pretty, and I was INSTANTLY comfortable with her, which almost never happens.) The dinner was really good (roast beef/ham/beef lasagna/veggie lasagna/etc. I had the veggie lasagna with ceasar salad.) And they had lots of yummy deserts too. CREAMPUFFS FTW. That was before the wedding cake later in the night.
Plus, of course, I was so happy for Sarah and her new hubby. Everything was great. :)
So I did the jewelry, then took wedding photos (the lighting was AWFUL, but I can adjust that and fix any photos that need it on the computer), and I also made some mix CDs for when the band wasn't playing. We didn't end up using them much, but it was good to have them just in case.
I couldn't stay for the whole reception, though. I started to have a panic attack because of the crowds, so Mom took me home. It's too bad, but I wasn't surprised when it happened. Ah well.
Wedding aside, not much else has really happened other than the stuff with Tia's spay and everything. The wedding was on the 15th, though, and I'm only now starting to finally wind down from all the stress. =/
Aaaaand I guess as a last completely random note, I've decided I want one of these to add to my collectibles. They're kapala skulls. I don't want a REAL one, a replica would of course do just as well. I just think they're amazingly (and morbidly) beautiful, and I would love to have one. Haha. I have funny tastes, what can I say? xD
