Look at me finally remembering to post photos of the last of my Furuba ponies! ^_^; Yeah, I completely forgot for like two weeks, didn't I?

Anyway~

Uotani Arisa ("Uo-chan") was made from a G3 Shelle-Belle. This is one of the stupidest of the G3 poses in my oppinion but whatever. She was painted cobalt blue, and rehaired with Ash Blonde katsilk from restoredoll.com. Her symbol is a little smiley yellow fish. <3

In retrospect, I should have done her in red and decorated her in the kanji on the coat that Tohru's mother gave her. Ah well! Maybe I'll do another one, I have lots of extra ash blonde hair...

Shigure was made from a G3 Starbeam and was a pain in the ass, seriously! Stupid glitter! ><;; But I got most of it off, and yey Shigure! He was painted dark grey, and rehaired with black katsilk. His symbol is a 3-D black doggy, and he has the kanji for the Year of the Dog on his hoof yes shut up I know my kanji skillz fail, it's good enough! XD;;

Akito was made from a G3 Green Apple, painted black, rehaired in black hatsilk, given black eyes and evil black eyebrows, and has a bird/branch/sakura petals as his symbol. He also has a handmade zodiac symbol necklace that I did out of sculpey. <3

I'm so proud of my Furuba set! It's 17 ponies! And none of them are the same pose! =O Actually, I was somewhat shocked that there was even that many poses to choose from, but I didn't even use all of them. >>;;

Also, I just had someone comment at my devART and tell me that my twins ponies have inspired them to try customizing ponies as well. I don't know why, but that gives me warm fuzzies. I'm really happy that I can share my hobby like that. :)

Photos of a bunch more of my Furuba ponies, as promised. Only three to go; I was planning to finish Shigure and Akito tonight, but honestly... I'm not feeling the greatest, since I didn't get any sleep last night. =.=

So I think I'm going to put it off by a day and finish them up tomorrow night. I need my bed.

Anyway! In no particular order!

Isuzu/Rin was made from a pony with a 3D symbol so I had to cut it off before I could do anything. And in the photos, for some reason, she looks like she has reddish patches, when in real life she's just the dark purple color. Her hair is CM Midnight katsilk from restoredoll.com. Her necklace is black ribbon, based on one that she wears in the manga, and the same with the black wrist cuff. <3

I love Rin, but she doesn't look nearly cynical enough with that smile on her face, lol.

Yuki was made from a G3 Seaspray (one of the few I remember the name of XD;), painted light grey (a color I had to mix especially for him and my WIP Grissom pony), and rehaired with Hi Ho Silver katsilk; his eyes are silver as well, as is his symbol. He has a little shirt embelleshment on his chest.

Kyou was made from a... Pineapple Paradise? Something like that. He was painted beige and rehaired with Orange Blossom katsilk; his eyes and symbol were painted an orange to match. His bracelet is hand made, the red beads hand-painted; red instead of black because in the manga they were red (colored by human blood). He only has a red ribbon around his neck because I had trouble when I was prepping the bait pony, and his neckline wasn't even.

I'm not 100% happy with his symbol, so I might end up re-doing it later...

Hatori was made from one of the 2006 G3s-- the pink sparkly one? He's been painted dark blue, and rehaired with CM Midnight katsilk; his eyes are light grey, and the left one has no pupil or definition. I realise that Hatori has no signs that he's blind, but in the pony I wanted it to be obvious. His hair hangs down over that eye.

The seahorse was a pain. The tail broke off twice while I was trying to paint it. Luckily I was able to fix it and didn't have to re-do it all together. XD;

Ritsu was made from a G3 that I don't know the name of. Whatever. He was painted yellow, and detailed with orange flowers, taken from his kimono on the front of his volume of the manga. The kimono-inspired bow was made by hand and was a PAIN IN THE ASS, and I'm really happy with it. He was rehaired with Stacy Titan katsilk.

Rit-chan is one of my favorite of my Furuba ponies. <3

Kisa was made from a G3 baby. Look how cute she is~~ X3 She was painted pink, and rehaired with the same Stacy Titan katsilk as Ritsu was. I originally made a little flower necklace for her, but the beads were too big for her and I didn't like how it looked so I ended up taking it off again.

Hiro was also made from a G3 baby, to match Kisa. They're adorable. ^^ He's been painted kind of an olive-green-brown and rehaired with a brown katsilk that I can't remember the exact name of. XD; I'm still considering giving him a little floppy bowtie like from his school uniform, but I haven't decided yet...

Kureno was made from a G3 Cloud Climber; he didn't need to be repainted, and was just rehaired with Mahogany katsilk. His eyes were repainted, though. Kureno was easy. ^_^; And I chose to do him from a peg... mostly because I found it fitting, since in the manga Kureno can no longer fly-- both in reality, and metaphorically. I gave him back his wings. :)

You know that run of G3 ponies that came with forehead glitter, and glitter all over their symbols?

I need the glitter off, and it's not freaking easy to do. =__=;

On the YEY side of things, I finished Kyou!pony and Hatori!pony last night, including Kyou's bracelet, which was a pain because I couldn't find 4mm round red beads, so I had to paint all of them by hand. XD; And Hatori's head slipped when I was gluing him back together, so I need to touch up his paint around his neck, but other than that they're both good. <3

Now I'm waiting for the hair to come in for Kisa/Hiro/Ritsu, and I'm going to try to get Kureno done tonight, and get a decent start on Shigure if I can get the goddamn glitter off of the bait pony. Then there's just Akito, and Arisa~

There are Fruits Basket ponies everywhere. .__.

Last night I invited Mom and Lee over for dinner and we had the various pies I made the night before, lol. We also had broccoli. Basically, I wanted someone other than myself to try the meat pie and tell me what they thought, because I mean, if I like it but no one else does then there's still clearly something that needs to change.

But they both loved it, so I'm good. <3

Anyway, the point of this post was that late last night I decided I want to cosplay at Anime North. [/random]

But because it's semi-last-minute (seriously, for cosplay two months is like nothing), and I want to spend as much time as I can working on ponies, I'm going to just pick three school uniforms from different series and wear one on each day, instead of going as specific characters. I might do that next year. :)

So I decided I want to do a (male) Ouran uniform (of course), and the female uniform from Fruits Basket (the long-skirted version that Arisa wears). I have yet to decide what the third one is going to be... hmm. It has to be something relatively simple that won't take long to put together. (Like the Ouran one, I don't have to actually make anything, the most I have to do is iron on the school crest to the jacket, lmao~ XD;)

Any suggestions?

I worked on ponies last night, of course. That seems to be all I'm doing lately. -.-;

It's funny, now I've got this urge to sew, and I don't do that much. I'm not really good at it, either. But I'm making a coat for Ed!pony that's going with me to the convention, so I guess I can sew a bit for that. It'll get it out of my system, and halfway through it I'll go back to hating sewing like normal. lol.

Anyway, I got Kisa!pony and Hiro!pony 50% done, I still need to do their symbols and their hair, but I can't reroot them yet; I had to order the right color of hair for both of them, so I've got to wait until it comes in. Probably some time the middle of next week. Same as with Kyou!pony.

So they're all sitting to the side, waiting, and I've started painting Ritsu!pony, who will also need to be rehaired later, since her hair is in the same order as Kisa and Hiro's. I keep wavering on what color to paint Ritsu, though; I've been basing some of the colors for my Furuba ponies on the outfits they're wearing on the covers of the manga, and I want to do that with Ritsu, but it'll be a lot of orange...

Of course, Yuki is done all in various shades of grey (and silver), and he turned out really cute, so it'll probably be okay. We'll see.

And I think after I'm done with the Furuba ponies, I'm going to start working on Gravitation and Kingdom Hearts ponies next. I'm only doing a couple of characters from each of those series; Shuichi, Yuki, Ryuichi and Kumagoro from Gravi, and Sora, Roxas and Axel (and maybe Kairi) from KH.

I might also look through my bait ponies to see about one for Nekozawa and one for Renge for my Ouran set...

That aside, I spent the bulk of today at Mom's place cleaning; I did the bathroom, the dusting, the vacuuming, the kitchen/bathroom floors, dishes, and~ I cooked dinner for them. Basically, every two weeks I'm going to go over and do that for a day to help work off some of the debt that I've racked up over the last few years. >>;

And then I got home, and snuggled with Loki because he's still feeling super sorry for himself; and worked on Rin!pony for a bit. I think I'm going to start painting on Kisa!pony and Yuki!pony soon, too...

Last night I couldn't sleep, so I sat up watching the Food Network (my default channel if nothing else is on, I <3 cooking shows) and started working on my next Furuba pony; Hatsuharu.

I can't actually finish him until the hair I ordered ccomes in (I ran out of white hair and black hair at about the same time; Hanajima!pony is sitting on my shelves waiting for it so I can rehair her, too), but I prepped the pony (G3 Fairy Dust), and niggled out his jewelry and whatnot.

I went through a couple of volumes of the Furuba manga, trying to suss out his earrings/necklaces/bracelets/whatever... and he seems to wear different stuff in almost every appearance. XD; The only things that stay constant are the collar-choker, and the tatoo on his left arm (for obvious reasons. >>;)

So I came to the conclusion that I have a fairly free range to do what I want, with just a few things to keep in mind.

1) Haru has three piercings in each ear. The earrings (studs/hoops) change around, but the number always stays the same; so Haru!pony has a ring and two studs in his left ear, and two rings and one stud in his right. They were kind of a pain to do, but I really like the way they turned out. =3

2) His tatoo. The vine design on the upper part of his left arm. But that wasn't a big deal, I just painted it on with black acrylic and a toothpick, lol.

3) His leather collar. Not a dog-collar, really, but a choker with a buckle. I have yet to entirely figure this one out, but I think I'll do it out of the black suede strips I have, and then make the buckle parts out of sculpey. Whatever. I can't put it on until the last minute anyway (it has to go on after the rehairing is done and his head has been re-attached), so I've got time to mull it over.

4) The Year of the Ox kanji. All of the Jyuunishi ponies will have the kanji for their year on their hoof, so I can't really do a lot of bracelets on Haru!pony's left ankle. He has two on his right, though.

That's about it, really. But I've got to say, so far he's turning out really well, and I adore the earrings. ♥ ♥

I might have to keep this one and make another for selling at AN. >>;

Ahh, and I was up until 5:30 this morning, and got up at 9:30 so I could call the vet and make an appointment for Loki; he's got these scabs around his ears, and inside his ears is all red... the scabs are probably from scratching, but I need to get him looked at.

I'd say it was ear mites, except that none of the other critters have them. You'd think with five cats and five rabbits in the house, more than just one of them would get mites if they were around...

Had another appointment with the Dentist today. This is what happens when I can't go to the Dentist for over two years. I collect cavities! Damn stupid soft teeth! ARGH!

But at least I can get them all dealt with now... today I got all the ones on the left lower jaw done (three, I think), so I'm kinda' hurting right now. >^-^;; That, and he had to jab be with three needles of freezing way back in the joint of my jaw before I was frozen enough to work on...

That aside, I ACTUALLY SLEPT LAST NIGHT. I was so tired from my cumulative lack of sleeping over the last week or so, and the business of the day yesterday just exhausted me. I slept like I was dead for about twelve hourse straight. Too long, actually. ^^; I slept through my alarm and missed Cassandra-san... GOMEEEEEEN~~ ;__;

And as a final note, a while ago I bought the Fruits Basket Perfect Collection DVDs off ebay, and it came in yesterday. So happy! Holy crap, though. Dub!Furuba makes my brain cry. *WEEPS* Why?? WHY??

Thankfully, I have a Japanese-with-subtitles option! =)

The last couple of days, cassandracsenta and I have been working on finishing up our set of OC Jyuunishi, and they're coming along really well. ^^ And we have a horribly evil plotline going for them, too. It involves time travel! And therefore, the original canon Jyuunishi, too! XD

I'm looking forward to writing with them. Nyahaha... =^-^=

On a somewhat related topic, I think I'm going to be making a Year Of The Dog pony, since 2006 is said year. Just for fun. ^^

Aaand... I don't have much else to report. Today's been pretty much meh in general.
