senashenta: (I Won't Be Broken Again)
Ugh, the Apo-Divalproex is really kicking my ass since Dr K upped my dosage. But then on top of that I haven't been feeling super great anyway. I'm really depressed still. >.<; Bad enough that Mom's noticed and asked me about it today. Normally no one can tell when I'm like this because I fake being fine. =_=; IDK, I've just been going downhill the last couple of months for no apparent reason.

Anyway, today my box of snacks from j-list came in. I ordered them a couple weeks ago. Wildberry pocky, different flavours of mochi candy, custard hi-chews and lotte lime-yuzu gum for Mom. The mochi candy is gone already. It was so yummy. :3 The grape was the best~! I might order some more in a couple weeks.

Oh, and my brother's PC completely died yesterday, so he spent all yesterday in a major snit. Now he's alright again, but he borrowed my PS2 to play Kingdom Hearts and FFXII, since he can't pass the time playing City of Heroes on the computer. I think he's probably planning to use his tax money to pay to have his PC fixed when it comes in.

Also, thank you Sethi and Kazzie~! I got PSP working again though, so it's all good. XD;; I was doing a poster for Esprit Studios to get printed off for my booth at AN, so with that done I'm good. I just have to actually get the posters printed. (Two so I can keep one in case the one at AN gets ripped up or whatever.)
senashenta: (Chapter 53 Twins)
Back from Mom's place again. Spent the last four days doing not much else besides gaming with my brother. Heh. We took turns playing FFXII, and coaching each other. lol. His game is about 24 hours in, and mine is only about 15. He borrowed my PS2 to play some more, and I stole his N64 and Zelda games. XD; I'll let him finish his quest and then get my PS2 back from him. It shouldn't take him too too long, he can whip through video games insanely fast. Though [livejournal.com profile] kierseth tells me FFXII has something like 300 hours of gameplay so maybe it'll actually be a bit of a challenge to him for once? ^_^;

For Christmas I want a DS, and Tales of the Abyss. ;3; And a cell phone omg.

Anyway! Tomorrow is chiropractor day, and grocery shopping. But today after Mom and Lee got back I was talking to Mom about some of the stuff that happened when I was in the US (in regards to the bus station person who was a bitch to me about taking my other bag on the bus, and worrying when Maddie and Chloe were late picking me up in Dayton, until I got Michelle's text message), and how I really wish I had a credit card for situations like that. The problem is that I've applied several times for several different credit cards, and I keep getting turned down, I think because I'm on disability and not actually working. Which, Mom informs me, is discrimination. .__.;

So tomorrow while I'm out I'm going to actually stop in at the bank and sit down to talk with someone about it. I need a basic credit card, or a line of credit, or at least a decent sized overdraft for emergencies. I'm sure I can work something out. I should be able to. I'm also going to speak to a customer service person at Walmart about getting a Walmart credit card as well, since they've turned me down several times as well. Everything is in order, except that I'm on ODSP. So... wish me luck?

...I am in the middle of an epic Supernatural marathon, of all the episodes from season 3 that I missed last year. 8D GOOD TIEMS. I love this show. ♥
senashenta: (Booth & Bones)

So, most of this week I'm at Mom's place again; she and Lee went away for a few days and they asked me to come stay here to take care of the dog. I brought my PS2, so my brother and I have been playing KH and FFXII for like three days straight now. XD;

Mm, also, Monday I had to take Pan to the vet. She's lost a FUCKTON of weight, to the point where all she is, basically, is skin and bones. She literally weighs half as much as she should given her size. So I finally took her out of the big cage and put her into a smaller one on her own to keep an eye on her, and after a couple days, she hadn't eaten anything, had barely drank at all, and wasn't going to the bathroom.

The vet said she might have been going into the beginning stages of GI Stasis, and gave me some special food to encourage her to eat, as well as suggested giving her plain yogurt and papaya extract to encourage the growth of good bacteria in her digestive system. She also said just to try giving her all her favourite foods to tempt her into eating again. So this week she's staying here with me so I can keep an eye on her, and getting lots of treats and love. The dog is displeased. He seems to think the rabbit is the spawn of Satan or something like that.

Lesse... oh. House premier this week. Made me sad. D: The ending was like an "ouch" moment. But it was a good episode nonetheless. This week's Bones made me sad too. Every time I watch a show about dog fighting it depresses me. ALSO, MY INNER X-FILES GEEK FUCKING LOVES FRINGE. SO MUCH. I WATCHED IT WITH MOM AND LEE AND GOT LOOKS BECAUSE OF ALL MY GLEE ATTACKS AT RANDOM MOMENTS, LIKE WHEN THEY TOOK THAT WOMAN'S EYE OUT TO GET PHOTOS OF HER LAST IMAGES. LAWL AWESOME. \o/

senashenta: (Sign Me Up For B-Grade Movies)
28 Weeks Later :: Mmm... not as good as the first one, but I'm not really surprised. Still, not the worst movie I've ever watched by far. 28 Days Later scared the snot out of me the first time I watched it, all I could think was that I was seriously glad I hadn't gone to the dark dark theatre to see it. XD; 28 Weeks seemed... more gory, but not as actually scary. That's typical of sequels, though. *shrug*

The Invisible :: Holy crap, this one was so good! I mean, it looked good or I wouldn't have asked for it, but it was even better than I thought it was going to be. I don't even really know why I liked it so much... I just did. Seriously, go out and rent this movie! ^__^

Disturbia :: Haha, Disturbia was about what I figured it would be. <3 No real surprises in it, but it was still an alright movie. It was quite funny in parts actually, before things got serious and murder-y. Also, it gave me flashbacks to Transformers because of Shea LeBeouf. lol. He amuses me.

The Pursuit of Happyness :: I just watched this one last night, and while it was good... somehow it wasn't exactly what I thought it would be. It surprised me a bit for a Will Smith movie, he doesn't normally do ones that are quite as... serious? Anyway, it was the kind of movie that really makes you sit back and take stock of your own life. Not the type of film I'd normally pick up, but I'm kind of glad I asked for it. It gives you a little perspective.

Ratatouille :: *luffs on Disney* <3

Evan Almighty :: I was surprised by this one! Normally sequels (I'm counting it as a sequel to Bruice Almighty, even though it's a different character) aren't as good as the first ones, but I really enjoyed it. Though like I said, it was a completely different character, so that's probably why. The only thing they took from the first one (other than Evan) was God. BTW, Morgan Freeman as God? FUCKING GENIUS.

...Aaaand that all the Christmas movies from this year. Now on to two others that I watched just recently for the first time! =D

Corpse Bride :: Yes I know shut up. This is an old one that I only just managed to pick up (from a Columbia House sale XDD;) and watch, and I looooved it. Not that that's a big surprise, haha~!

Black Sheep :: ZOMBIE SHEEP FTW. This one was the epitome of a b-grade, but that's fine because that's exactly what I bought it for. You can't get better than zombie sheep, lawl! I'm bringing it to Otakon with me to inflict it on other people, bwahaha! XDD;

Premonition :: Mom bought it, and I borrowed it. It was one that I really wanted to see when it was in theatres, and I'm kind of glad that I didn't buy it right away when it came out like I was tempted to. It just wasn't what I thought it would be. I enjoyed it, but really, not enough to want to own it, and coming from me, that's saying something. >>;

EDIT: Also, not a movie, but I'm enjoying KH immensely. Except the fucking paper guy with the torches at the end of the Wonderland level keeps kicking my ass all over the damn place. I've got attacking him and hitting his vulnerable points figured out, but I'm not taking him down fast enough and I keep dying. Plus? Stupid Goofy and Donald are always in my way! ><;; BLEH. I guess I have to go back and just fight some more regular Heartless and get my levels up a bit more or something. -.-;;
senashenta: (Durr...)
Yesterday was our second Christmas. =D; The one with the extended family, at Uncle Len's place. Man, I was running on two hours sleep in two days and kept falling asleep and stuff. xD;

We all hung out and caught up for a couple hours, and then had dinner. The turkey was excellent and the stuffing was ZOMG!awesome, but Clare put bacon on the turkey to keep it moist so I had to take gravol a few minutes before I ate because I'm allergic to pork. Oh well, it was still yummy. lol.

Then we did presents, and I got $80 and two movies (Ratatouille and Evan Almighty) from Grandma, and in the round-about game we play I got a whole bunch of rechargable batteries and a recharger, which is AWESOME because I needed them for taking my camera to Otakon in the summer. :3 Grandma also gave me my birthday gift, which was a $100 gift card to Zellers. YEY.

Mom, Lee and I didn't stay there really late because I was fading fast, but we hung around for a while longer to have dessert (I didn't have much because I wasn't feeling well for various reasons, but I brought a whole bunch of stuff home XD;); Grandma always makes these lemon bars that everyone loves, and this year she made pecan pie bars too that are just to DIE FOR. <33

Oh, haha, I brought Tetsuya with me to show him off to Grandma, and when they found out he was anatomically correct, her and both my aunts insisted on taking his pants off, and then checking to make sure he had nipples too. The poor guy had no dignity for the whole night. XD;;

As a side note to that, Aunt Brenda thought he was a Final Fantasy character until I explained about him. <3

Anyway, when we left I zoned out in the car on the way home (and Tet-chan hid in the bag because he really didn't want to talk to anyone anymore), and called Dad when I got home to say Merry Christmas.

Then I slept for... almost 20 hours. ^_^;

Then I got on AIM to chat with people, and watched Evan Almighty and Ratatouille on my PS2, and now I'm on to The Pursuit of Happyness.

I'm so glad the PS2 can play movies. I had to unplug my DVD player to hook it up, and this way I don't have to be constantly unplugging stuff and plugging it back in. If I want to watch a DVD I just use the PS2 and be done with it... though that makes my DVD player kind of pointless. I might pack it up and put it away so it's not just there taking up space... or something. Hmm.
senashenta: (Don't Worry Be Happy)
Tonight was our immediate-family Christmas. Nothing special really. We had tacos for dinner! Haha, no real festive, but yummy nonetheless. We all <3 tacos, so it was good. Besides, we're having a big turkey dinner on the 25th, so no point in having one today too, right?

After dinner we opened our gifts, which was nice. Even the dog got presents! A squeaky snowman plushie to play with and some chicken-flavoured chew bones. :)

My brother got a really fancy desk chair since he spends so much time at his PC. It's nice and comfy and way better for his back than the old kitchen chair he's been using. He also got some puzzles, and a mister that's a dragon looming over a pool witha huge crystal ball.

Lee got a whole bunch of movies, but he also got an electric-acoustic bass guitar that he's been wanting for a while now. He was really happy with it. Not that it was a secret that he was getting it, it was a pretty obvious shape lawl.

Mom got a couple of movies, and almost $400 in gift certificates to various stores from people, since she wants new clothes. The two of us are going to go out shopping together some time after Christmas. ^^ And Lee got her a pair of diamond earrings. X3 They're so pretty and sparkly~!

As for me... my brother got me a slimline PS2. O___O PLUS a spare controller and some memory cards gfdshguiahgufdshgdkljhl;lk! Ehe, and Mom and Lee got me both Kingdom Hearts games~~ >3< I started playing the first one a bit while I was at their place, and I am IN LOVE. SRSLY.

I also got some movies; 28 Weeks Later, The Persuit of Happyness, The Invisible and Disturbia, and a MAMMOTH teddy bear that's like as big as I am. HE'S GINORMOUS. XD; I named him Everest and he takes up almost my whole couch bwahaha.

I'm glad everyone loved their stuff... and feeling a little selfish because I love mine so much. XD; Christmas is normally about the giving for me, but this year I'm all FWEE KINGDOM HEARTS! and stuff. lol.

Oh, and before dinner I played Trunks' Game Cube a bit, his The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess game. lol, I don't play video games much (or didn't, anyway), and I was used to the controls for the 64 Zelda games. The Twilight Princess controls are much more sensitive, so I kept running Link into walls, especially when he was on Epona. XD;; D'OH!

It was fun though. I told him I wanted to borrow it some time to play the rest, and he said only if I lend him my PS2 and KH. lol. <3
