Buah, so yesterday morning I had a doctor's appointment at like, 8:15, and it took about three hours for her to get to me... =_=;; So not amused by that. My own doctor wasn't in, but there was another woman taking over for her-- she was probably away because of something to do with her knee, since she had surgery done on it (for something, I don't remember what really) a couple of months back. Anyway, my whole appointment was just to get some prescriptions refilled, so having to take that much time sitting in the waiting room kind of ticked me off.

.....

Right. So after that, I went down to Blockbuster in the afternoon, despite being annoyed. I also wasn't feeling really well (argh stupid ovaries! >_<;;) Basically, I went there for lack of anything else to do. Raided the used DVDs, which I always do when I go there (which is why I don't go more than once or twice a month), and ended up with three: War of the Worlds, Dominion (Prequel to The Exorcist), and Robots.

I'm currently watching WotW for the second time, because I enjoyed it so much the first time. ^^ Robots was great, too. Very funny. I <3 Robin Williams. Dominion wasn't as good as I thought it would be... the ads I saw made it look better. But oh well, it was still worth $7.99 or whatever it cost me.

Last night I had wierd dreams. O_o What else is new? In one, I was back in the eighth grade (with the same people I had that year with), and we were doing an art project where we customized ponies. >^-^;; My teacher back then, Mr. Pinnell, was going around the class, handing out baby ponies to everyone, but when he got to me, he gave me a plush one because "[I] already know what [I'm] doing." Or something like that.

Then the other one was like, a whole Disney animated movie or something. ^^; The main "character" was a kid (whose real name I don't know, but he was telling the Princess in the dream that his name was "Charlie Brown", ha ha) who was jumping ages from around 8, to about 16, and then maybe 24-ish. He had a guardian redtail hawk that was huge-- three or four times the size of a regular redtail, and it always had this frog sitting on it's back. ^_^;;

The details are kind of sketchy, but there was a Princess, and a big cat-hyena-type thing that they called "Terror Beast", but he was actually pretty friendly and kept cracking jokes and stuff. Go figure. There was a big red dragon as well, and a shaggy pony with what looked like black-and-tan dog markings for coat color, but they were only in it for about three seconds. I think Charlie had either two or three friends that were his age (um, from the beginning of the dream when he was eight or so), too, but I can't remember for sure.

Charlie's voice was done by Jim Carrey, and the Hawk's voice was done by Patrick Stewart.

The Hawk and his frog are really clear in my mind, too... I should do some sketches of them. ^^

And finally...

Today I got more ponies in the mail! XD

--Gem Blossom
--Cloud Climber
--Star Shimmer
--Berry Pickin' Fun with Butterscotch
--Rain or Shine Garden Time with Starswirl
--Slumber Party with Tea Leaf

Yup. I got a few in a couple of days ago as well... ones that Dad bought for me, but they were all loose (not in their boxes), and I don't know most of their names. ^_^; One is Sparkleworks, but I have to look up the names for the other ones.

I currently have a bunch of fun dye circulating in my body. It's not radioactive or anything, but still. :P

The CAT scan went fine, though I started to freak out a bit when they put the IV needle in my arm, taped it there, and then sent me back to the waiting room. Sitting there in a hospital gown, with a big ass needle in my arm, surrounded by strangers, I had a bit of a panic attack. I don't do well with situations like that. But once they took me back to have the scan done, and I was away from the crowded waiting area, I was good again.

In any case, they pumped me full of dye, scanned me, took the IV out, and sent me on my way; when I was originally supposed to be getting my scan done here, I was supposed to get it done and then go to the ER to wait for the results. But since I had to go out of town to get it done, I have to wait for my doctor to call me with the results instead.

Which basically means that I still don't know if I have clots in my lungs or not, but it's a serious possibility. Fun stuff.

So, having been poked, prodded, stabbed and scanned, I headed out, and since we were in Barrie already, Mom and I went to Chapters. We were planning to go on this Monday coming up anyway, but this saved us a trip. I proceeded to spend way too much money on books/manga for me (they still don't have volume 11 of Furuba, dammit!) and Christmas pressies for other people.

--Tyrannosaurus Sue, by Steve Fiffer
--The Lost Dinosaurs of Egypt, by William Nothdurft (with Josh Smith)
--The Unicorn, by Nancy Hathaway
--Candidate For Goddess, manga volumes 1 & 2, by Sugisaki Yukiru
--Tokyo Mew Mew manga volume 1, by Ikumi Mia and Yoshida Reiko
--Chobits manga volumes 2 & 3, by CLAMP
--Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle manga volume 7, also by CLAMP

I was originally looking for Fruits Basket #11, Gravitation #4, and Mahoromatic #4, but they didn't have any of them. And since I finally managed to finish up some of my manga series the last time I bought some (I finished Instant Teen, Tokyo Mew Mew a La Modé, Deus Vitae and Tokyo Babylon), I figured I could start a couple of new ones; hence Candidate For Goddess and the first Tokyo Mew Mew series. Also, I've had the first volume of Chobits for about a year now, and am finally working on collecting more of that set. ^^;;

As for the book books, I've been having a serious dinosaur jones lately for some reason, which is why I got the two books pertaining to dinosaurs. I haven't bought a new dinosaur-related book in about a year and a half (I think), so I'm looking forward to reading them. The unicorn book I just got because I found it in the discount racks, and it looked interesting-- it's a little encyclopedia of "unicorn" myths from all over the world, and talks about the differences between them. :)

And that's just what I bought for myself. ^_^;; I'm not gonna list the other stuff, 'cause some of it's for people on my f-list...

Anyway, after the book store, we went to the Walmart across the road, where I got a Christmas gift for my brother, my step-dad, and my brother's girlfriend. AND I got myself two cheap DVDs... because they were FRAGGLE ROCK! X3 I have Fraggle Rock DVDs now!

...and now I'm really tired, because I can't breathe very well. But I have stuff to do, so off I go.

EDIT: Also, I was browsing DevART last night, and found ~PaperCut's gallery. It was awesome. Not specifically for art, but because she makes custom My Little Ponies, and does an awesome job of it. ^_^ I know, I'm childish. But check her gallery out. And dude. These two made me giggle and squeal: Sesshoumaru MLP and Naraku MLP. X3

Dance your cares away, worries for another day! Let the music play, down at Fraggle Rock!
