Jun. 18th, 2005 08:10 pmHonestly. I missed out on the carpentry gene altogether. Which is rediculous, given that my Dad can build pretty much anything. =_=;;
I got some pre-fab shelves from Walmart today, and I can't put the damned things together. *ticks slightly* I got as far as STEP 1 :) and got stuck. Then, in trying to figure things out, I managed to royally confuse myself. I'm just a lost cause, I think.
So! Mom's coming over tomorrow morning before we head out to do groceries to help me with them.
While I was cleaning out cages/terrariums today, I noticed that Ryu-chan has something wrong with her right eye. When I picked her up to look at her closer, it turned out that she has a bit of swelling in her cheek, right under the eye itself. I thought maybe she might have something wrong with one of her teeth... until she started bleeding from her right ear. O_O;
Uh. Yeah. She's not bleeding anymore, but still! *worried* The thing is that she's not acting sick. She's acting normal. Fine. Like she always does, and like there's nothing wrong at all. So I'm kind of at a loss, here...
On a slightly-different topic, I need to get another terrarium for Dazzle. Flash is doing fine in his cage (he's quite happy there, actually), but with all the digging Dazzle tries to do, I think he'd be happier in a terrarium. Besides which, then he could make as much of a mess as he wanted, and the bedding wouldn't fly all over the place. ^^;
Today I was actually going to switch Dazzle with the mice, and put them in the cage... which would have worked fine (Dazzle loved the terrarium and the mice adored the cage), if it wasn't for the fact that Hana and Aya-chan are both escape artists. @_@ They're still young and not full grown, so they can get through the bars; whereas Noriko and Ryu are are big enough that they can't. ^^;; So I have to either get another terrarium for Dazzle, or wait until Hana and Aya-chan are bigger before switching them...
Muaaaa... Aya-chan is so cute! I was playing with her one of the times she wiggled out of the cage, and she's just painstakingly adorable... X3
What I actually want is to get a huge terrarium and build up my {female} mouse colony a bit. ^^ They're just as much fun to watch as an aquarium is.
