I feel stupid, following the last post with one like this... but yeah. Here it is.

[livejournal.com profile] tsukizu (who is originally from Canada, but doesn't live here anymore) really liked Patriot Love when I posted pics of her, and wanted one mostly like her, but with a few little differences. So I made her, and named her "Homeland". :)

Homeland was made pretty much the same way as Patriot was, and with pretty much the same materials (she was even made of a G3 Bowtie, too.) Her hair is in stripes of Caddy Red and Platinum White katsilk, from restoredoll.com (as usual). Her symbol is done with a red sharpie marker, and her hoof heart was replaced with a red gem. I gave her a white bow in her tail, and a red one around her neck.

I also decided not to recolor her eyes, and left them the original blue and purple (okay, I colored the little pink hearts red, but whatever), because with the white added in her hair, the blue/purple looks really pretty. =3 But I'll change it if [livejournal.com profile] tsukizu wants me to, of course.

Anyhoo.

Mom, Lee and I went out and picked strawberries this morning. Yeah, yesterday I found out my Grandpa is dying, and today I'm picking freaking berries. I hate myself. -_-;;

But we did that, and then went back to their place and cleaned/washed/packaged them for the freezer. I did laundry. We went to Walmart and picked up the shelves I put on layaway a week-ish ago.

When I got home, I found a problem with the rabbits... Phoenix seems to be in a false pregnancy. WTF, world? Screw you, too. She and Pauper are at the age where they need to be spayed, and I'd planned on getting it done soon, but this is pushing me to get it done ASAP, and I can't afford it right at this very moment.

I need to sell some stuff.

Anybody want to commission a pony or something?

Sadly, life goes on. Don't feel bad about yourself for continuing to go about daily business, even to have some fun. I don't know your Grandpa, but I'm sure that he doesn't want you to put life on hold and hide away in a dark place. That's not to say you shouldn't be upset, but its ok to do other things and carry on as well. I hope I'm not coming across as insensitive, because that's the last thing I intend, but don't beat yourself up. At this moment in time the thing you, your mom and Lee (your brother? I don't know) need is to do things together, sometimes forgetting, just for a little while is good for you.

Also, I didn't want to say this on the houserabbits com because I'm very aware these days of "animal lovers" attacking me because I don't do things their way, but Ghost had a couple of phantom pregnacies at the same age as Phoenix is. She got over them. Neither of the girls are spayed yet, and though I understand it needs doing for all the reasons listed in the com, and I will get it done, I can't afford it at the moment. And I'm not going to let no person on the other side of the planet call me a bad pet owner and get under my skin again, for one thing that I'm putting on hold when I know I give my animals a better life than many out there.

My personal opinion is don't feel pressured into doing it, unless Phoenix's behaviour is really worrying you.

Incidently, I'm pretty sure Ghost is the Alpha of the pair, is Phoenix?

Thanks. :)

And yeah... I've gotten the feeling that people over at comms like that tend to overreact about things. I do plan to get them spayed (duh), but I mean... yeah. Anyway, Phoenix is definitely the alpha, despite the fact that she's half Pauper's size. >^-^;;

The houserabbits com is one of the better ones around at least. I've left all of the rat coms that I was a member of because I was starting to spout crap to my college car share friend about rat keeping and when she asks me "why?" my only reply was "that's the opinion on the coms..." and I realised much of what they said was just repeating what is generally considered "acceptable" without reasoning behind it, or at least a balanced argument, and yeah, don't get me started....

BTW, Homeland is also very beautiful. The red and white is so striking.

I melted my poor mountie ponie last night when I tried to bake the sculpy. But he's now going to be salvaged into a Dief custom ^_^

*hugs tightly* I love it! Thank you sooooooooooo much, Sena! You're the best. <33333333

Lipstickcat is right tho, life does go on, regardless of rubbish that happens to us. I'm sure your grandad wouldn't be happy knowing you were that upset that you stopped living your life. It's the last thing ppl want - or so I've been told -> I lost 4 family members all one after the other a while ago (as well as one last Nov.) and this is what they told me (2 cancer, 3 old age). (cancer runs in my family and I'm on the at-risk list apparently - they keep sending me stupid letters about getting tests all the time @.@)

Anyway, thank you so much for the lovely pony - I'll paypal you with the money right away. $35US right? Or..is it a little more? I can't remember now *chuckles sheepishly*

And thanks for the cheer-up over the bee thing. I'm absolutely terrified of the things (and horribly allergic) and I don't understand how it got in there in the first place without me knowing about it. I know a hornet thingie had gotten in, but I didn't know a bee had too. Hubby-san got rid of it for me after he got back from work, but yeah....<33333

(Leave the eyes, I love 'em how they are :))

It's $35, yep. Make sure to include your address, too, so I can mail it. :)

I know a lot of people are afraid of bees/etc. Personally, I don't have a problem with them, but they're a pretty common fear. ^_^; I'm afraid of earwigs and leeches, myself...

*nods* I had a horrible experience as a child, waking up covered in them from head to toe, and ever since then, I've not been able to handle anything like that buzzing around me. So yeah...*smiles sheepishly* Then I found out later that I was horribly allergic so...

I sent the money to ya, hope you get it soon :)

Thanks again! <3333

*is so very tempted to ask for Edward and Alphonse ponies* Unfortunately, I don't have Paypal, and I don't really feel comfortable giving out my address like this. I wish I could buy something from you.
