So apparently Mom feels better now that I have a couch. WTF? Like it matters. Yeah, I'm glad I have a couch, too, but she says she wasn't particularly comfortable with me not having anywhere to sit.
I had chairs! And a bed! And... the floor. And stuff.
*shrugs*
Also, regarding my previous post, it's When Dinosaurs Ruled not When Dinosaurs Roamed. I watched the first disc way back in the spring when Dad first picked up his set, and it was pretty good--but it's narrated by Jeff Goldblum, which is kind of annoying.
I can see why they picked him; yes, he was in Jurassic Park and The Lost World, but really... he doesn't have the kind of voice for documentaries, in my oppinion.
Also, the inaccuracies in the JP movies annoy me, and listening to his narration brings back eye twitches from long-past times. They were good movies for animation, and as long as I put everything I know about dinosaurs and paleontology out of my head while I watch them, I get along fine. If I don't it's no fun for anyone who might be with me at the time.
Sena: Did you see that?! Brachiosaurs can't do that! They're too--
Everyone: Shut up.
Sena: *broods*
That's about it.
I'm probably going to bed early today. It's back around to my days off in the rotation (YAY!), and I'm severely sleep deprived. Besides which, Mom wants me to go over to her place tonight around 7 to watch a movie (she suffers from major sepperation anxiety, I think) so I have to get up at 6, and that's about three hours earlier than I normally get up, so... yeah.
EDIT: I almost forgot! Behold for I am the Queen of self-inflicted injuries! And for those who don't think I can hurt myself any way? ^_^;; I cut myself last night...
Hikaru: *snigger cough* Get this...
...on a danish.
Josei: *SNIGGER*
Hikaru: *snickercough*
Amai: ^^;;;
...what? ^_^;;;

Aoi: Ah...^^;;; How did that happen?

To be fair, it was a Maple Pecan Danish, which has very hard pecans on it. When I was putting them on trays, I slipped and dropped one, and one of the pecans cut my finger. ^^;; I have a pastry-caused paper cut. ^^;

Liquid food so you don't choke, and only a teaspoon at a time, so you can't drown in it. ^^

Date: 2004-11-23 08:02 pm (UTC)I totally know what you mean about Jurassic Park...from my limited memory, the books were a bit better on the accuracy scale, but still...^^; Of course part of the problem is that so much new knowledge has been gained, especially about carnivorous dinosaurs, since Crighton wrote that book...

Date: 2004-11-23 08:54 pm (UTC)It's been about seven years since I read the books, but I seem to recall them being more accurate, too. *shrugs* I really did like the JP movies (hell, I'll watch anything that's dinosaur-related), but sometimes the little things bother me. ^^; *picky* lol.
