Kali-Kitty
Jul. 24th, 2010 09:11 pmToday I had an appointment downtown to have my hair done before I head to the US on Wednesday. For some reason when I made it I made it for 9 in the freaking morning. WTF self? Whatever. So I was up at 8 and down there at 8:45 and in the salon for three hours while I got my hair dyed and trimmed. Fun tiems.
Anyway, today also happened to be the day of the huge sidewalk sale downtown, and I basically had to walk through the setup on the way there and then through the whole thing on the way home. That was fine though, I window-shopped and got my watch battery replaced, and got a new set of tweezers. I also got some corn on the cob from one of the vendors AND IT WAS DELICIOUS. *w*
Buuuuuuuut... I was bad. >>;
There was a woman giving away free kittens outside the place I got my watch fixed at.
Yeah, um. Meet Kali. =D;;
She's six weeks old (ish), tuxedo coloured and half Manx so she has the most adorable bobbed tail, it's practically nonexistent. SO CUTE! She's super friendly and cuddly, which is awesome. The only problem is she has a few fleas, so I had to give her a flea bath when I got her home and then apply flea drops to her and all the other cats just in case. She's also living in the bathroom for a couple of days until I know for sure they're all gone. The last thing I need is a major outbreak of the little bastards, right?
I've been thinking about getting another kitten for the last month or so, mostly because of Juna. He's still really young and full of kitten!energy and has been driving the older kittehs insane because of it. So I was thinking about getting him a friend closer to his age that could keep up with him. Kali just happened to be available, free,and I have a thing for Manxes. ♥
Also, the woman I got her from told me about the new spay/neuter clinic in Barrie. If you go through the SPCA there they'll do spay/neuter for $50 a cat, instead of the $350 the vets charge. I AM GETTING JUNA AND KALI DONE THERE LIKE WHOA.
Ah, and "Kali"! She's named after the hindu Mother Goddess. The first Goddess in my pride of Gods!
OH HAHA. And after I got Kali home and settled, I took some apples down to the ponies at the pony rides. X33! I got to pet the ponies~~! ♥♥♥
