Plans And Plots And Plots And Plans

Tomorrow is CHRISTMAS BAKING DAY. Literally ON Christmas day because I fucking SUCK at time management this year. I have to at least get Cobin's cookies and Amy's pie done, and then anything else I can cram in I guess I'll cram in. Hopefully at least one batch of lemon cream cheese cookies and one batch of shortbread cookies. I guess we'll see.
I'm currently gearing up to do a total tear-down of the axolotl tank in a couple of days. Take the 'lotls out and place them gently in a bucket, same with the plants. Rinse and prune the plants while I'm at it. Then take everything else out of the tank, all the hides and filters and the air stone and scrub them down and clean them out, too, before washing down the inside of the tank itself because it tends to get icky on the walls. Then siphon out all the water that I can, and start refilling it with new dechlorinated, treated water, bucket by bucket. Once the tank is full again, I can put everything back in and let it run for an hour or two (hopefully) before putting the 'lotls back in, too. And fingers crossed it all goes well.
But it's going to be SUCH a big job, and SO hard on my back, I'm just like... yeah. Not looking forward to it, no matter how much it needs to be done. :|
Anyway.
I ordered a folding buck knife/utility tool a few days ago and it came in today. It's a nice little knife and I'll add it to my Bug-Out Bag, but it's not exactly what I was looking for so I went back and ordered another non-folding buck knife and holster, which I think will be more like what I was going for. I also ordered a pocket knife sharpener.
More on my prepping in another entry. :D;;
