The Blade premier was an hour an a half long, and
mavan wanted me to tell her what I thought of it, so! Basically, there were good points and bad points, but in general I enjoyed it. But then you all know that I absolutely thrive on B movies, so... XD
Hm. Well, it wasn't Wesley Snipes, obviously, but the new guy did an okay job. He had the feel of Blade, more in what he didn't say and do than what he did, if that makes any sense. He's kind of tiny, though. ^^; Blade should be taller and more built. And he didn't have the same sword as in the movies. ;-; I liked that sword! And Whistler wasn't in it, either...What? Just because I complained about the sword before him...
Whistler didn't die in the movies, did he? I don't think so, but I can't actually remember...
The special effects were pretty much top notch, in par with the movies, and the writing was decent. It kind of reminded me of Buffy at some points... and somewhat like The X-Files at others. I guess it's similar subject matter, though, so it was probably pretty much a given.
In any case, despite some rough spots, it gets Sena's thumbs up. And since it's on on Wednesday in a time slot that none of my other shows are in, I'll probably continue to watch it. :)
