One Thing After Another...

All the stuff I've had to take for my back the last couple days to stop the spasming has finally caught up with me I think... I'm feeling really really sick to my stomach. It's kept me up most of the night. Ugh.

But I'm still happy. =D

Why, you ask?

BECAUSE~ Mom fronted me the money to get a dollfie (now I owe her tons of cash but whatever xD;;); originally, I was going to purchase a second-hand one that came with clothing and whatnot, but at the last minute the girl changed her mind. >___>

But Mom still lent the money to me, so I got a brand new one instead. I got an El from LUTS because he's so pretty and will match Fujii. Now EN!Tetsuya will have a body! Though I might get him a red-brown wig and blue eyes (uh, Tetsuya has blue eyes doesn't he Cassandra-san? .__.;) so he can be ND!Tetsuya as well, since they're a similar body type~ =3

He doesn't come with a wig (as far as I know), and it took some searching to find the right one, but this is the one I want for him. They're out of stock of it right now, but it's perfect so I'll just wait until they get more in. He can be bald for a little while, I'm sure he won't mind. xD;

He'll also be nekkid for a while until I pay Mom back and have money to buy him clothes; but before that I have to have money for aiko_yamada to do a face-up for him. <3

It'll take me about two months to pay Mom back (since I'm selling a bunch of stuff and everything), but he won't get to me for about five weeks anyway, so that's really not a lot of time for him to be hanging around bald and without clothes. He'll have eyes since he comes with them, but they're a random colour so I won't know if they're the right ones or not until he gets here. Chances are I'll have to order him new eyes as well.

I also need to find somewhere he can sit that the cats can't get at him, because if he breaks I'm screwed. I won't be able to replace him for a long time. In the new year I'm planning to get a Too and Bee-A pair, but they're much cheaper than El was.

Also, Fury has randomly decided he wants a Sha body, the bugger, and I really kinna want to do a Hika dollfie eventually, but that'll depend on money and if I can get the doll-type off Aiko since she's got the perfect one for the twins.

Why do all my hobbies have to be so expensive? >>;;

EDIT: Meh, Tetsuya was complaining at me about the prospect of being nekkid and bald, so I finally gave in and bought him a cheap outfit on ebay to do until I can buy him some fancier clothes; a black sweater, black sneakers, and dark brown plaid-ish trousers, all for about $25. Bets he still complains about being bald anyway? lol.

EDIT #2: I got outbid on stuff. So instead I got him this shirt and these pants. They're a bit more expensive than the others, but they're nicer and better quality, and they're still relatively cheap. The shirt is so Tetsuya, but the pants aren't so much... but I really like them so I got them anyway and he can put up with them until he gets more clothes. Then I'll stash them away for a future dollfie to wear... or maybe donate them to Fujii or something. >.> I can't remember if he likes purple or not. .__.;

The Yumminess Of Spamming

You know what's awesome? Grape pie. Seriously. I randomly decided I was going to make pie with grapes last week and bought a bunch of them, and Mom looked at me like my head had fallen off or something. xD;

Anyway~ I come bearing a recipe this time. USE IT, DAMMIT. I COMMAND YOU.

-1 bag of seedless, red grapes (you know how grapes come in their own perforated bags? A full one of those.)
-1/2 cup pulp-free orange juice
-3 cups white sugar
-1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
-1/2 teaspoon allspice
-1 teaspoon cinnamon
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-10 tablespoons of flour (whatever that equals, lmao I fail)

1) Pull grapes from stems (obviously); make sure there are no bits of stems in them. Rinse them off well under the tap.
2) Mix grapes, OJ, sugar, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon and vanilla in a pot; heat over medium just long enough to melt the sugar.
3) Pull pot from heat, mix in flour.
4) Pour mix into pie shells; place in 325 degree preheated oven, bake for 1/2 hour.
5) After one hour, change the temp to 450 degrees, and bake for a further 5-10 minutes, until the crust has browned.
6) DONE. =D

You could switch out seedless purple grapes for another kind if you like, but you'd probably have to adjust the sugar depending on the kind, and if they have seeds in them, you'd have to spend the time cutting them in half and taking the seeds out before hand. You can also adjust the spices however you like, of course, but this mix is really good. <3

I don't generally put a top crust on my pies (unless someone specifically asks me to), but if you do, a good way to brown/crisp/caramelize the top is to brush melted butter over it and then sprinkle a bit of brown sugar overtop (kosher sugar works well too; the kind with the bigger pieces than regular white sugar) before putting it into the oven. :)

This recipe makes two pies. Cut everything in half if you're only making one. (lmao, I never make just one pie at a time because I always feed all kind of other people with them too, haha~)
