Christmas #2
Dec. 24th, 2004 10:51 pmAt Mom's right now... crappy computer.
Came over here around 3 this afternoon, the plan being that I would stay here for supper, then we would do our little immediate-family Christmas gift exchange, and then I may or may not go home. As it turns out, I'm spending the night here, and then getting a ride home with Mom when she does to work in the morning. Yes, she has to work Christmas day.
...we had chili for supper. Not really Christmas-y, but something that we all love... my Step-Dad makes the best chili ever. I'm taking some home with me. Besides which, tomorrow we're all going up to my Grandparents to do Christmas with my extended-family, and we're having turkey and etc. there.
So yum. Chili.
Then we all sat down and exchanged gifts--most of my Christmas was already used up on a bar/mini fridge and blinds for my apartment, but Mom and my Step-Dad got me a copy of Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz, a Feng Shui incense kit (95 incense sticks and a further 30 incense cones, set to the Chinese elements) and Tiki Mugs...
TIKI MUGS! They're awesome. ^^
Trunks' girlfriend also got me a copy of Queen of the Damned. She's a sweet girl... I got her a stuffed tiger, and got her brother a dinosaur plushie, and they both liked them, which I'm glad for.
After that, Mom and I started baking (we made Broken Glass Torte and Date Squares), and Trunks put in his copy of HERO that Dad got him. It was a good movie... but kind of strange. Had a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon feel to it... I think I might borrow it and watch it in Chinese with subtitles, since Trunks insisted on watching the English dub...
Yeah.
Merry Christmas to everyone.
