1) Working somewhere that doesn't start with "Tim" and end with "Hortons"? =_=;;; That aside, hopefully in university for forensic/criminal psychology, and working on getting at least one original novel published. ^_^

2) Uhm... that one's trickier, because it depends on the day. ^^;; When I'm on a level ("normal") day, I'm a lot like Harlan from Brothers At Arms; when I'm on an up ("manic") day, I guess I'm more like Samara from In Dreams (though she's gotten a lot more light over at the Monarch's Own RPG, actually) and when I'm on a down ("depressive") day, I can most definitely emphasize with Teegan from No Tomorrow and Yesterday. *nods* But mostly, I'm like Harlan. >^-^;;; Scary, isn't it?

3) I have a lot of happy memories... and a lot of depressed memories, but I'm not getting into that right now. ^^; It's kind of hard to pick any one as my "happiest", but I guess maybe when my frends and I went to the local Ren. Faire. Pam and I went to get drinks, and C.A. was sitting at the "tavern", and when we got back, this huge bunch of pirates were sitting with her, and I swear to God they were all hitting on her. XD It was so funny...

I stole it from irreparable 'cause that's where I saw it first, but since then I've noticed it all over the place, and with varying numbers of questions...some of them are 'six', some of them 'ten', etc. ;P

1.) Since you work at Tim's and all, do you any longer have any tolerance for donuts whatsoever? ;P

2.) What made you start liking SeiyaxYaten, since it seems you started out in the fandom liking the typical pairings (SxU, YxM, TxA)?

3.) You write fanfic for Mercedes Lackey books, don't you? I always thought she was one of those authors who would genuinely take legal action against people writing fanfic for her work, like Anne Rice, Anne McCaffrey and Dennis McKiernan...I could've sworn I read that on the Fanfic University site. Am I remembering wrong, or am I remembering right and it's just that the authors in the fandom aren't worried about legal action? ^_^ Just curious.

Ah. ^^ I know there are varying ones floating around, but I didn't know who you nicked it from. ^_~

1) Oh my God. =_=;; If I never see another donut in my life, that would be too soon.

2) *blinks* *thinks back* *blinks again* You know... I... actually... don't remember... |_|;; I think it was about a year and a half ago... but I have no idea why I switched over...

3) I'd heard that, too... and I know that Mercedes Lackey has been known to take legal action, but she doesn't do it all the time. I think if you acutally knew the details of those cases (which I don't...) you'd probably find that the people writing it were doing so for profit/etc. I know she doesn't read fanfiction at all, though, and I can completely understand that. There are way too many legalities to worry about if she did. *shrugs* That's why I make sure to include a disclaimer at the beginning of every chapter or every fic I write for the M. Lackey section of FF.Net (or wherever); I know that she's taken legal action in the past, and I certainly don't want to give her any reason to do so in my case. ^_^;;;

I'm still not sure why I came to like it so much either, so I sympathize. ^_^

There are way too many legalities to worry about if she did.

Mm, no kidding. I've heard that some authors do actually read fanfiction for their books/whatnot...for instance, I've heard rumors about Joss Whedon and J.K. Rowling...but I can certainly understand the potential legal snags.

Probably smart to have a disclaimer, but at the same time it is rather thrilling...kind of like stealing cookies when your parents are home, I guess. *LOL* Always that thought that you could get caught and all that.

See, back when I first read Dennis McKiernan's books, I felt inspired to write a few fics based on them...but then I was looking around his personal website one day and found a section where he said he had no respect for fanfiction, he didn't want it written about his books, and he had in the past sued and won a case about someone using his copyrighted characters. ;_; It was quite a letdown at the time (since I was having fun playing around in his world).

I really wonder about authors like that. *scratches head* Myself, if I wrote a book or created a television show or whatever else, I feel certain that if people liked my universe enough to write fanfiction about it, I would feel totally flattered! I can't imagine feeling the opposite. My father's on the other side of the spectrum, though...he utterly disapproves of my hobby, and says that if he ever wrote a book and people decided to "fuck around" with his characters in fanfiction, he'd be angry and feel slighted, as though his original work were lesser somehow. O_o I just don't get it.

I personally agree with you on that one. And actually, I have gotten fanfiction from people before (fanfiction for my fanfiction, how twisted is that? ^^;;) and it always makes me squeal. XD I think if I was actually published, though, I'd probably avoid reading it for the same reasons Mrs. Lackey does--basically just to cover my own ass.

I can completely understand that, but authors that don't want fanfiction written at all kind of baffle me. *shrugs* I suppose it's a personal choice... but in the case of Mercedes Lackey and her Valdemar series (where my ficcing resides), I think she probably had to look at it with the thinking that there are so many people writing Valdemar fanfiction that it wouldn't be worth the time or effort to try legal action against them all, not to mention trying to hunt them down via their Internet handles. ^^;

*shrugs* Still, that's why I don't write with her characters very often. >^-^;; 99% of my fanfiction takes place in Valdemar, but I've only written two one-shots that are about characters she created (and one of her characters guest-starred in a chapter of another one). Also, I don't feel comfortable writing with her characters, because I'm afraid I'll screw them up.

The same thing as I was iffy on VAing for Seiya/Fighter in MiLL-san's Stars dub; because I love the Starlights so much, and I knew I could never be as good as Niiyama-sama, ne? Ahaha... but I still wasn't willing to turn down the part when she gave it to me... ^^;;;

1) Ahaha... I actually kind of collect icons. ^^; I have about 200 of them on my hard drive in a little "icons" folder... I just nick the ones I really like. Most of them are from animeicons. ^_^ Anyway, there are three that I like the most, which pretty much sum up my state of mind (when I'm not really depressed, anyway). The one I'm using now is one of them, and these are the other two:



I just think they're cute and appropriate. ^^

2) Okay. I read Stars Align and then I was like, "I wanna make my own Starlights, now!" and I was really pathetically uncreative at the time, so Hunter/Dancer/Dreamer were the only names I could think of. ^^; I decided to do Amai the way she is because there really weren't any Starlights like that (taking Striker and Keeper into account as well, since I'd already adopted them)... uh, Josei was originally supposed to be very feminine and graceful (she had quite a bit in common with Aoi, actually, now that I think of it) as well as cheerful and pleasant, but she's just... changed over time. ^^;; And Hikaru was just for bumbling fun. XD

4) Kira and Aoi. >^-^< *squeals and bounces* I ADORED them when I read it, and I still do... and I think it was about a year later that I randomly created Singer and Silencer, and it all spiralled out of control... ^_^;;;

Yeah.^^ There was no one shy or anything like that. Everyone had their own confidence and everything...^^ *huggles Amai* Maaa, I got that impression that she was actually. It makes me giggle that she's so different actually.^^;; Must be living so long...You can't exactly be stagnant now can you? *giggles* And Hikaru!XD That's it. I'll just grin real big.

Na, I've always been curious as what you adore about them.^^ I know they're cool and all that, but sometimes I also want to know why others like them so much.

Pretty much. ^^; That was about when Amai started commenting a bit more (not that she does it a lot, but whatever) and Hikaru started getting picked on... and Josei's been undergoing a pretty gradual change ever since then. ^^;;;

Sou ne. ^^ Sometimes it's funny how characters grow and change on their own. It happens all the time with the characters in the books I'm writing, too. >^-^;;; Sometimes it's kind of inconventient, actually...

Usually it works out for the best... sometimes it's problematic. Once I had to change an entire storyline, because one of the characters that was supposed to die refused to do so. That was about 1/2 way through the story, and the rest of it hinged on the fact that he had died... except he hadn't. =_=;;
