Okay. So.

I spent from 2 this afternoon until just after 6 at the hospital; when I checked in, I told them I was there because of my lungs and my stomach (see previous post). They took my vitals and checked my blood oxygen levels. Aside from what I was complaining about, I apparently also had tachycardia (128 bpm).

They didn't even check my stomach at all-- they were more concerned about my lungs, given that I'm asthmatic.

They did some tests (peak meters and etc.), and concluded that my lung problem was not because of asthma (which I already knew). Then they sent me for chest x-rays... which came back completely clean. As in, hello! You don't even have a hint of a chest cold, your lungs are clear, there's no reason for you to be having difficulty breathing!

.__.

Obviously, there being no problem was like, a problem.

The combination of unexplained lung problems and tachycardia is a bad, bad thing. They gave me some combivent to clear my lungs a bit, and had me do an EKG test. There was no problem with my heart to explain the rise in bpm. They did some bloodwork. Then they checked my legs.

Finally, the doctor went to get a second opinion.

And so, this is what they tell me: they think I might have a blood clot in one of my lungs.

This is a serious problem-- serious as in life threatening if it's true. So they gave me a shot of something that I don't know the name of to thin my blood. Tomorrow, I have to go for a CAT scan on my lungs to check for blood clots.

Yeah.

That aside, my stomach still hurts like hell.
