:I really hate it when She's like this.: Sterling said, crystal gaze pinned on his Creator, tail flicking and swishing uneasily behind him. :I really do. This whole place seems to quiver when She's does this.:
:But really,: sad green eyes shifted toward the same focus as Keir lifted his head, black ears swivelling absently. :Can you blame Her? With all the crap She's been through lately...:
Sterling's attention drifted to the Wolf, and he sighed. :I didn't say that I didn't understand it, I just said I don't like it. The walls and ceiling shiver, for crying out loud.:
As if to illustrate his point, a faint shimmering-quiver rippled through the walls for a few seconds, before they settled down once more. So far, the floor had remained relatively stable, but who knew how long that would last? Ah yes, the perils of living in the reality of an unstable Writer's mind were truly great at times.
And so, Her two Muses mused.
:She'll pull through. She always does.:
:Maybe... but...: Keir seemed to frown, glancing toward the Companion, and shifted uncomfortably, crossing his paws and then laying his head back over them again. :It's never been this bad before though, Sterling.:
:I am fully aware of that fact.:
A quiet whuff, and Sterling took a short moment to wish that he and Keir had vacated the premisis along with everyone else--they would be back, of course, but had wanted to give Her some space for a little while. Sterling himself, along with Keir, had stayed, hoping that by doing so they would quietly assure Her that she hadn't been abandoned.
:But She's strong, Keir. She can take care of herself...:
:But She can't be strong all the time, you know.: A nod toward where She was laying, on her side on the couch, staring blankly forward, at the television screen, which wasn't even on. Concern tinged Keir's Voice; :Her family is busy with work and school... all of Her friends are still out of town... all She has are her cats.: A very faint hint of a smile, :and as much as She loves Osiris and Triton, they aren't very good at conversation...:
Sterling nodded, sighing softly, and shot a meaningful glance over at his partner. :She has us Keir.:
The low chuckle that followed made him shake his head as Keir shifted his tail behind himself; :She does... but really Sterling...:
Sadly, regretfully, unfortunately.
:We only exist in Her imagination.:
